I Always Get Compliments Whenever I Wear These Lip Colors

Not sure what it is really, but I aways get a ton of complements whenever I wear these lip colors. Incidentally, they happen to be some of my personal favorites as well! Ranging from  dramatic to natural, and pretty to slightly more edgy, I’d say all of the below are pretty much on constant rotation and are always in my travel bag (I like to bring a variety of shades with me so that I have a few options to choose from for day & night).

Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hydrating Lip Gloss Stick in Uh-Huh Honey is one of those little multitaskers you can wear day or night. Super moisturizing, slightly sheer, it has a beautiful shimmery metallic finish that looks particularly striking in the brown-sugar finish. Good on it’s own for day, for night, I sometimes layer it over a matte brown lipstick (Birkin Brown from Charlotte Tilbury is absolutely goals!) for a slightly more dramatic look.

NARS Lip Gloss in Color Me is my newest discovery. Love this very soft and feminine shade of lavender. Though it may look a bit intimidating at first (it’s rather bright shade of lavender), it goes on sheer and creates a very soft look. All the girls in the office tried it and love it just as much as I do. For day, I normally wear it on it’s own (Quick tip: it looks super pretty with bronzed cheeks, This Palette for example gives the most gorgeous natural looking glow). But for night, I go for drama by adding a layer of Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in shade 009, a gorgeous purple holographic gloss with just a touch of purple shimmer.

Finally, a nude matte lip stain I actually love! Lip stains, especially matte ones, can be tricky but L’Oreal’s Lasting Matte Lip Stain in Empower is gorgeous and doesn’t make your lips feel dry at all. Though most of the time I wear it as is, sometimes I like to dab a bit of gold shimmery gloss on the center of my top and bottom lip to create a fuller, more plump effect. At the moment, I am completely obsessed with Multi Use Lip Gloss in Star Babe from Nars. Love the shade but also, love this product because it can be used in a multitude of ways. Personally, I love to wear it as an eyeshadow all over my upper lid. It creates that wet eye lid look, but with just the right amount of sparkle! Basically, the end result is pure magic!

Tom Ford Sheer Lip Color in Sweet Spot is one of my favorite coral shades ever! Corals are uber flattering period, but this shade is just on another level. Soft and pretty, all the girls in the office are obsessed! Though once again, most of the time I wear it on it’s own, sometimes for night, I like to add just a touch of coral gloss on top just to amp up the drama. (P.S. looks absolutely insane paired with a bit of lavender eye shadow, like this one for example)

Probably one of the most popular lip colors I ever wear, whenever I wear Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge x Camila Coelho in Rouge Empire people stop me on the street to ask what I’m wearing. No joke! You may have noticed that I started wearing red only recently, and this is the shade that made me change my mind. Honestly, I’ve heard people say that there is a red for everyone and never really believed it until I tried this one. And let me tell you, this red is for everyone! The most perfect shade of coral red, sometimes, I layer just a bit of Lancome’s L’Absolu Rouge x Camila Coelho in Day & Night, a shimmery pinky/nude, to soften the look and to add more dimension.

P.S. Watch the Full video of all my favorite lip colors at the moment here:

Ciao Roma!

Always happy to be in Italy but visiting Rome with Fendi, was definitely a dream come true for me. Stay tuned for the recap post of my adventures coming up in the next few days, but in the mean time, I wanted to share one of my favorite looks from the trip. Currently cargo and crop top crazy, this look is sort of a combination of all the things I am loving at the moment.

Kind of a big deal right now, cargo pants are popping up everywhere. What I’m loving this season in particular is that there is a variety of styles to choose from, ranging from more casual to slightly more tailored/dressier options. Personally, I prefer to dress them up with a pair of heels and polished accessories. Another personal styling preference is to wear them with either cropped or fitted tops for that slightly sexier/cool vibe.

Always an accessories girl, I am living for statement earrings right now, especially paired with slightly more casual/everyday staples like cargo pants, oversized knits, denim and leather. Jewelry always adds to a look, but I really love the impact duster or drop earrings make. A perfect finishing touch, they make a casual look just a bit more polished and sophisticated and as you probably already now, I am a big fan of that.

Alexander Wang Cotton Cargo Pants (also love these, these, and these ones) | Orseund Iris Cropped Ribbed Knit Turtleneck Sweater (also love this, this, and this one) | Stella McCartney Faux Leather Trimmed Pu Pumps in White (also love thesethese, and these) | Fendi Cat Eye Printed Tortoiseshell Acetate Sunglasses, Baguette Large Bag, and “Strap You” Leather Shoulder Strap | Justine Clenquet Amy Earrings (also love these, these, and these ones)

A Nod to Neutrals

The more time I spend in Italy, the more I realize how much I love being there. Though we couldn’t stay quite as long as we wanted to this time around, we still managed to explore and see a bit of Rome. Not sure if I ever mentioned it before but prior to getting my IT degree, I toyed with an idea of becoming a historian, and so I think on that level, Rome speaks to me in particular. Ancient Greek and Roman history was my particular speciality, so being able to see such historical treasures as The Colosseum is really a dream come true for me.

We shot this look on a particularly sunny and lovely morning, we got to The Colosseum pretty early, so you could say that we had the place all to ourselves for a bit. The outfit I am wearing in today’s post is one of my personal favorites, and I am glad we got to shoot it at one of my favorite places in Rome. But speaking of favorite things, I am really feeling the neutral palette at the moment (incidentally it also happens to be a rather major trend this season). Why do I love neutrals so much? Well, there is something incredibly polished about them, isn’t there? But also, neutrals offer endless color-combination options. Right now, I really love wearing them with white, but come summer time, they look amazing paired with brighter colors or even neon, if you’re feeling particularly adventurous.

Peter Do Asymmetric Plissé Crepe Wrap Mini Skirt (also love this, this, and this one) and Convertible Tencel Blend Shirt | Joseph Trenton Cady Blazer (also love this, this, and this one) | Gu_De Demi Lune Croc Effect Leather Shoulder Bag (also love this, this, and this one) | Stella McCartney Faux Leather Trimmed Pu Pumps in White (also love thesethese, and these)

Sequins For Day… Why Not!

Seriously though, why not? I mean a little sparkle is never a bad thing, is it? The key to wearing sequin pieces for day is to pair them with understated classic staples like trench coats, chunky knits or blazers. Basically, let your sparkly number do all the talking, i.e. make it the focal point of your look and keep everything else simple and elegant.

Though I love wearing chunky sweaters with sequin skirts ( I mean can we talk about this skirt with this knit please?), today’s look is a combination of 2 of my favorite pieces – mermaid sequin dress via Veronica Beard and my Isabel Marant trench. Have you ever noticed how trench coats have this unique ability to transform from casual to elegant depending on what you wear them with? For example, this trench looks perfectly casual when I wear it with jeans and sneakers but the moment I pair it with a dress and heels it take on this very classically elegant persona, love that!

So, are you guys convinced? Would you wear sequins during the day and if yes, how?

Veronica Beard Mykola Sequin Dress (also love this and this one) | Malone Souliers Pumps (similar here, here, and here) | Isabel Marant Jaci Trench Coat in Ecru (also love this, this, and this one) | Gu_De Demi Lune Croc Effect Leather Shoulder Bag (also love this, this, and this one)

Roma with Fendi

Italy has always been one of my favorite places to visit, but a Roman Holiday with Fendi, is basically a dream come true for me. The reason why we were in Rome was equally exciting. As you may already know if you read this site on the regular, I am a big Fendi fan, so when I was invited to come along for the unveiling of the new #ForeverFendi watch, I couldn’t be more thrilled.

We arrived to Rome on a particularly lovely morning, and upon checking into the gorgeous St. Regis Rome (definitely recommend this hotel should you ever stay in Rome) we found a beautiful surprise waiting for us in the room – the brand new Forever Fendi watch. As you may already know, I am a big accessories girl and of course watches and jewelry happen to be my particular weakness. What I love about this watch is that in a way, it is a marriage of both style and functionality, beautiful to wear and a great time piece to pair with both your daytime and evening looks alike. It is not available just yet (the watch will be launching in April), so being able to get my hands on it before anyone else was definitely a very special experience.

We spend the next few days exploring Rome, visiting such important historical sites as the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum, the Trevi fountain and learning about their connection to Fendi. We also got a chance to tour the Palazzo Fendi, the iconic Fendi flagship store which was recently renovated and I have to say that it was definitely an unforgettable experience.

Couldn’t really tell you what I loved more about it, the decor, the building itself (built in the 17th century, originally, it was the residence of an aristocratic family), the gorgeous VIP apartments reserved for celebrity clients, or dinner at Zuma restaurant which is located on the top floor of the building!

We had to get up at 5am to get these shots but having Spanish Steps all to ourselves was absolutely magical! Though this word rings true for this trip in general, it really was absolutely magical in every possible way and I can’t wait for you guys to experience the watch for yourselves! Oh, and it’s all very hush hush for now, but the watch will come in several color combinations! I am absolutely in love with my silver bracelet blue face combo, but there is a gold bracelet/black dial options that also captured my heart! Can’t wait to hear what you think about it!

We also, shot a little video documenting a few of our favorite moments from this trip, hope you enjoy!

Special thank you to Fendi for making us feel so welcome in Rome and for this wonderful trip!

Hair Heroes

Always a jewelry fanatic, I’ve been having a bit of a moment with all the embellished hair pieces lately. Aside from the fact that they feel fresh and new right now, on a more practical side, they are magic little helpers when you need to step up your hair game fast. This particular hair style took my usual 15 minutes but ended up looking a lot more polished and sophisticated thanks to the crystal and pearl hair pins I added.

Few current favorites below, I love the fact that these work with hair down or up, especially when I opt for that slightly messy, perfectly undone up-do. A pretty crystal head band or floral pins add a glamorous touch even to the simplest of hair styles, and I don’t know abut you guys, but I love anything that helps me to save time when I’m getting ready to go out!

Though technically speaking this post was supposed to be about hair jewels, but I couldn’t write it without at least mentioning this gorgeous Rosantica clutch. I’ve been a long time fan of the brand, who specialized mostly in jewelry, but this year they finally came out with a line of hand bags and I am obsessed! Also, did some digging’ and found a few similar options! Btw, how gorgeous are these pearl clutches?!

Jean Style I’m Loving at the Moment

I’ve been a fan of high-rise jeans for some time now, but the style I can’t get enough of at the moment is the tie-waist, slim leg, lighter wash combo. First of all, lighter wash tends to pair really well with all the Spring top styles (think lighter, brighter colors and prints), slim leg looks great with pretty much any shoe style imaginable from boots to sneakers and heels, and tie waist adds that special little element which I always look for in garments.

The 7 for All Mankind pair I am sporting in today’s post is definitely my favorite (by the way these also come in white, so cute for summer, no?) right now. Love the wash and the bow-style belt which adds that perfect special touch. Come Summer, I know these will be my go-to pair to wear with all the cute eyelet tops and barely-there sandals (have my eye on this pair at the moment).

7 For All Mankind Roxanne Paper Bag Ankle Skinny Jeans (also love thesethese, and these ones) | Enza Costa Half Sleeve Crew Tee (also love thisthis, and this one) | Boots (similar here) | Isabel Marant Noomi Bag (also love this, this, and this one)

Number One Item On My Spring Shopping List

Blazer & short sets are huge this season, especially of pastel variety and personally, I can’t get enough! Chic yet somehow casually easy, these pieces are perfect for work and play. Wear them together or separately, a good blazer & short combo is definitely something that you can keep on constant rotation and of you scroll down below, I found a few cute options in the prettiest pastel shades of the season.

Though you can definitely wear this power pairing with both casual and dressy shoe options (love the way they look with dressed up sneakers as well), I like to pair them with another big trend this season – barely there sandals. Perfectly neutral so that they don’t take away from the rest of your look, nude sandals are a summer staple and below are a few of my favorite pairs right now.

Probably the number one jewelry trend this season, love that we get to wear Shell Jewelry off the beach this year. This year’s slightly more “dressed up” version of shell jewelry is perfect with pretty much everything from casual pieces to a much more polished ones.

Chloe Leather Shoulder Bag | Stella McCartney Embellished Faux Leather Sandals (also love these, these, and these) | Tibi Tropical Wool Sculpted Short (also love these, these, and these) and Tropical Suiting Blazer (also love thisthis, and this one ) | Mango Spaghetti Strap Top (also love this and this one) | Kenneth Jay Lane Seashell Drop Earrings | Brinker & Eliza Long Weekend Huggie Earrings | Anton Heunis Shell Crystal Earrings | Shashi Caroline Gold Bracelet | Brinker & Eliza Golden Baubles Bubble Bracelet | Maison Irem Oahu Natural Shell Bracelet

Of all the places to stay in Palm Springs, Korakia I think, is my favorite one. The perfect relaxing getaway, Korakia offers a truly unique experience in a sense that you feel like you’ve escaped somewhere else entirely. Beautifully decorated, I love the relaxed atmosphere, the home-made breakfast, the nightly Moroccan tea service, watching vintage movies under the stars, the gorgeous rooms and 2 the salt water pools. Basically, if we could stay there and never leave, we probably would because every visit goes by a little too fast and we can’t wait to go back.

Festival Beauty Essentials

Since festival season is upon us once again, I thought it might be fun to do a quick roundup of my festival season beauty must-haves. This year marks my 6th festival season, and through trial and error I’ve learned what’s really important when it comes to festival beauty, i.e. products must be easy to use, super effective and on-the-go friendly.

The air is Palm Springs is extremely dry, not to mention the fact that you will be spending quite a bit of time in direct sunlight, so your tresses will need some extra love and attention. Love Pantene Nourishing Oil because it’s super versatile. First, when my hair gets really dry, I apply it to my hair prior to washing it (if you have the time, let it sit on your hair for an hour, trust me, you’ll love your hair after), secondly, I apply it to towel dry hair to prevent heat damage and for some added moisture, third, I use it once my hair is styled to tame flyaways. The Intense Rescue Shots are a recent discovery and I am obsessed. This is what gets my hair back in shape when it’s extremely dry, I also like to use them after I color my hair to make it extra smooth, sleek and hydrated.

Once again, sun in Palm Springs is no joke, so a good sunscreen is a must! Love this particular one because it’s hydrating, super light-weight and water resistant! The Pure Fiji body oil is something that I’ve used for years. Keeping your skin moisturized in dry heat is not an easy task, but this oil gets the job done and it smells great!

Biossance Vitamin C Rose Oil is definitely one of my current obsessions! This one does it all  – brightens, firms, evens out skin tone and keeps your skin hydrated without making it oily (I have oily/combination skin and I always stayed away from oils thinking they will not work for my skin type, but this one does). I’ve talked about Josie Maran Body Butter many times before and I will continue talking about it because honestly, it’s that good! When you’re dealing with extremely dry skin, this product will get you back in shape quickly.

A big fan of Nars palettes in general, I love the Summer Lights Face Palette because it’s offers a great selection of products (4 eyeshadows, a bronzer and a highlighter), has both shimmery and matte shades, and features the prettiest colors perfect for creating that summery, glowy look.

Another Nars favorite  – the Multi Use Lip-Gloss, love it because it can be worn on eyes, cheeks and lips, but also, because it feels very moisturizing on and looks super pretty layered over your favorite shade of lipstick. Speaking of lipsticks, I’ve been super into Lipstick Queen lipsticks as of late. Love the amount of pigment with just the right touch of sheen. Added bonus, they are enriched with vitamin C and natural oils, so they feel extremely hydrating on!

This palette is perfect for creating that sexy night-time smoky eye look. The frosty metallic shades are gorgeous, the mattes are perfectly creamy and the staying power is amazing! Love that!
You know that I am basically a Tom Ford beauty fanatic and the new Aqua Metal Shadows are absolutely insane. Love eye products that are quick and easy to use, and these definitely are. All you need to do is sweep a thin layer across your eyelids for that glowy, sparkly eyes effect. I wear these a lot and always get complements when I do. Added bonus, you can definitely wear them during the day for just a touch of shimmer, of build them up for a more dramatic metallic eyes look.
Biossance Love Your Face Kit, Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel, Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, and Limited Edition Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil | Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil Body Butter | Pantene Pro-V Lightweight Nourishing Hair Oil Treatment Serum for Split End Repair and Rescue Shots | Beautycounter Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 and Countersun Mineral Sunscreen Mist SPF 30 | Pure Fiji Coconut Milk and Honey Exotic Oil | Nars Multi Use Lip Gloss in Working Girl and Relentless | Lipstick Queen Nothing but the Nudes Lipstick in Blooming Blush | Marc Jacobs Beauty Eye-Conic Frost Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Palette and Le Marc Lip Frost Lipstick in Sugar Sugar | Tom Ford Acqua Metal Shadow in Venus Rising and Sheer Cheek Duo in Lissome
Lovers + Friends Ava Top | Denim Shorts (similar here, here, and here) | Paco Rabanne Sparkle 1969 Mini Sequined Faux Leather Shoulder Bag (also love this and this one) | Chloe Boots (similar here, here, and here)

What’s Your Festival Style?

My festival style changes year to year, and this time around, it’s all about color, tie dye, layered jewels and belt bags for me. As I mentioned earlier, this year will mark my 6th festival season and what’s so exciting about this year in particular is that it’s much more anything goes. Basically, you are free to wear what you love, inject a bit more of your personality and style esthetic into your looks, mix and match trends and vibes, and do your own thing.

My current and always color crush – lavender is super on trend this year and obviously I couldn’t be happier. Soft, pretty and feminine, it’s just one of those colors that instantly puts you in that summer state of mind. Did some digging and found more than my fair share of the prettiest summer staples in this pretty shade!

Easiest way to inject of bit of that sporty vibe into your look, belt bags are a perfect bag of choice when it comes to festival dressing. Keep your hands free, wear on your waist, cross body or on your shoulder, the styling possibilities are numerous, and most of the time they are roomy enough to fit all of your necessities. Personally, I am a bit obsessed with metallic ones, since they add a bit of drama and sparkle to your look.

Jewelry, especially layered bracelets and statement earrings make for that perfect finishing touch. The prettiest bracelets I am wearing in this post are definitely my favorite at the moment, because they combine two of the trends I am craving the most right now: shells and bold color. Though you can wear them any way you like, personally, I love the layered look, cause you know me… when it comes to jewelry the more, the merrier!

The New Neutrals

Neutrals started making their way into my wardrobe a few months ago, and now, they are practically all I want to wear. At first, it was mostly about beige tones, but now, I am branching out into khaki, gray and taupe territory. Why do I love them so much? First of all, neutral tones pair well together and go perfectly with brighter shades (think khaki and lime green, or gray and neon pink), second, they look really polished and sophisticated when you go for that monochrome look, and last, they make your everyday staples look sharp and elegant.

Case in point – the cargo dress I am wearing in this post. Cargo anything is a huge trend this season, but what makes this dress really special is the the color! A warm, rich shade of olive green or khaki (depends on who you ask), I know I will definitely wear this dress all summer long because it’s so easy to wear and to style. Great with other neutrals, you can also up the drama by wearing it with bright shades (I’m kinda loving khaki with bright orange lately) or create a stark contrast by opting for all white accents.

2
2

Neutral shoes are a must! I mean, I could probably write an essay on why you need them, but to really drive the point home, I could simply say that you will wear them with everything! I mean it, a pair of neutrals sandals will be that pair you’ll wear the most.

Shell and gold jewelry is the perfect companion to your neutral pieces. Honestly, just try it! Add a few layered necklaces or bracelets to your favorite neutral basics and see your look instantly transformed! My favorite styling trick to use – layered necklaces, a few bold bracelets and you’re good to go!

Coachella with Pantene

Going to Coachella is definitely something I look forward to every year, but to be able to enjoy the festival while partnering with my favorite hair-care brand… well, that was a dream come true!

My love for Pantene products runs deep, it was the first shampoo I ever used (according to mom), Pantene oil was what my mom used on my hair to salvage it after an unfortunate perm when I was 16, and Pantene products is what I use now to keep my hair shiny and healthy. This year, Pantene was the official haircare sponsor of Coachella, so when they reached out and offered to collaborate to promote their on-site Pantene Style Lounge and limited-edition Pantene Festival Hair Kit, I definitely jumped on board. Aside from the fact that I already use and love most of the products included in the Pantene Festival Hair Kit, going to the festival can take a toll on your hair unless you use the right products, and the Kit includes everything you would need to create your perfect festival hair look while keeping your hair conditioned and healthy.

What does Pantene Festival Hair Kit include?

Pantene Airspray – lightweight, alcohol free hairspray that provides a smooth, controlled finish to your hairstyle. I love this particular product because it doesn’t make your hair feel crunchy or dry. It’s basically the only spray I use when I go for that super straight and sleek look because it keeps my hair in place, helps to control flyaways yet my hair still has movement and doesn’t look or feel stiff.

I used it to create this hair style for the welcome party at Pantene’s Coachella house and my hair looked perfect all night. My favorite way to use it is to spray a bit on a fine-toothed comb and run it through my hair, root to tip.

Coachella Day 1 started with a trip to Pantene Style Lounge where I got my hair festival ready. I opted for a sleek pony tail and finished the look with a pearl clip for a touch of drama. If you’re headed to Coachella this weekend, be sure to check out the Pantene Style Lounge – it’s free!

Pantene Festival Hair Kit favorite was the Pantene On-The-Go Frizz Iron. This product was a lifesaver all throughout Coachella for me for multiple reasons. First, it’s super compact and is truly intended for on the go use, so you can keep it in your purse and touch up at any point. Second, it tames the frizz right away and adds shine to your hair. I used it to smooth away baby hair around my face, so my ponytail stayed sleek all day and night. For areas around your face you just close the Frizz Iron around your hair and press very gently from top towards the ends. You can also use the Frizz Iron on your ends – just gently close it around your hair, press lightly, and glide the Frizz Iron down to the ends. Third reason why I love this product so much is because it’s super easy and quick to use, there’s absolutely no mess, and no drying alcohols involved! Love that!

We started Coachella Day 2 with some relaxing time by the pool. It’s not a trip to the desert for me without some pool time!

I typically try not wash my hair every day and after some time by the pool, my hair definitely needed a refresh. This is when the Pantene Festival Hair Kit came in handy again because it includes a Dry Shampoo – something you definitely need on the regular basis to save your hair from frequent washes and especially during a weekend at a festival since your hair is already going through so much, not washing it every day is definitely a plus. I just spray the Dry Shampoo on my roots (I like to section off the hair and spray to make sure I cover everything), lightly rub it in with my fingertips, and brush it out. Done! The Pantene Dry Shampoo absorbs oil and instantly refreshes hair without having to wash it.

Day 3 at Coachella started with a Play Rescue Reset Brunch at the Pantene House. Since I was sporting 3rd day hair, I was due for a wash and took it as an opportunity to use the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots (which you can find in the Festival Hair Kit as well!) to get my hair back to fighting shape after all the sun exposure and styling! I have been loving the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots and used them again once I got back home to Los Angeles because I could truly notice a difference in my hair – my hair felt softer, looked shinier, and got its strength and health back more and more with each use. Aside from great benefits, the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots are so easy and quick to use – apply root-to-tip for 30 seconds and then rinse for 30 seconds. That’s it!

Since I was in the sun and dry desert heat all day, I also used Pantene Nourishing Mask sachets – another product included in the Festival Hair Kit.

What do I love about the Pantene Nourishing Mask sachets?

Honestly, with all the abuse I put my hair through, a good nourishing mask is exactly what I need, and this one is amazing! It helps to transform dry, brittle-looking hair into a healthy, shiny, touchably-soft mane. Love that! Super easy to use, I normally apply it mid-shaft to ends and keep it on for 5-7 minutes (of course you can keep it on longer if you have the time). Then, I rinse thoroughly after use.

Special thank you to Pantene team for the best Coachella weekend ever! It was truly an unforgettable experience!

Coachella 2019 Outfit Recap

A quick festival style recap featuring a few of my favorite looks! This year in particular was all about denim for me. Denim in general is perfect to wear at the festival but this season it’s having a moment, so there are so many new an exciting trends to choose from – personally living for acid wash and light pink denim trends.

To me, a pair of white denim shorts is a Coachella staple because they are so versatile and so easy to wear. Love them paired with other white pieces, I also love the way they play down bright colors. Case in point, the ombre A.L.C. top I am sporting in this look. If you read my blog on the regular, you probably already know that typically I go for a single dramatic element in my look, and play down the rest. Well, this top was definitely serving all the drama, so pairing it with white denim kept it the focal point of this outfit.

I am living for pink denim at the moment. Flirty, famine and fun, I am especially partial to softer, paler pink denim shades because they wear so well with my other favorites like white eyelet and cognac leather. My other pink denim obsession is matching sets! Love them because they look fresh and pulled together as a set, yet you can easily wear them separately! And you know how I feel about versatility.

I will fully admit I wasn’t sold on gray acid wash denim right away, but changed my mind the moment I saw it paired with metallics. So fresh and fun, I love the strong 80s vibe this pairing is serving.

Little White Dress You Need Now

Summer’s version of a little black dress, the little white dress is my go-to dress style once the weather gets a little warmer. Dinner date with my husband, drinks with the girls, last minute invite somewhere fancy, honestly it hasn’t failed me once! Love that!

Though little white dresses come in all shapes and sizes, it is the belted blazer style that I can’t get enough of. Universally flattering, it’s basically the perfect combination of a slightly masculine and ultra feminine silhouettes (thank you cinched waist and strong shoulders) that never fails to impress. Seriously, I get the most complements when I wear this dress style! Below, are some of the ones I am loving at the moment:

BEAUTY NOTE: I always used to shy away from matte burgundy lips, but now, I am obsessed. I find that it’s the easiest way to give your look that “all dressed up to go out” feel and I credit this NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Train Blue with finally making me see the power of a perfect burgundy pout! See a few more burgundy favorites below:

ACCESSORY GAME: Accents are everything, and the right clutch and/or the perfect pair of statement earrings can take your look to a whole new level! My personal philosophy when it comes to evening accessories is statement and drama, currently living for the ones below!

I basically live for my NARS favorites, both Orgasm Blush and Orgasm Oil Infused Lip Tint is something I use on daily basis. I tried it a few years ago because people were raving about how flattering this color is, and they were right! This sort of peachy/pink/gold shade brings live to the entire face and looks incredibly natural (I’m wearing both products in today’s post). Sometimes, I like to layer Orgasm Oil Infused Lip Tint over NARS Lip Gloss in Outrage (a very soft orange/peach shade) which is another favorite. Great on it’s won, adding pink creates a very soft coral look, which is great for summer! NARS Ignited Eyeshadow Palette is a recent discovery. A huge fan of peachy/pink shimmery lids as of late, this latte offers a great selection of those colors but also add on shades to take your look to the next level!

I didn’t much care for primers until I tried Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Protect Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen PA+++. Literally a game changer for me, this primer keeps my foundation in place and creates that flawless skin look! Love that! Another favorite is Erborian BB Crème au Ginseng. This is what I wear most of the time instead of foundation. Love how natural looking this BB Cream is, basically it makes my skin look flawless yet most people don’t know that I have foundation on! Added bonus completely matte finish, so if you have oily skin like I do, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

My go-to glow products right now – Guerlain Terracotta Summer Glow & NARS Super Radiant Booster. Though you can mix NARS Super Radiant Booster with your foundation for that overall glow, personally, I like to use it on high pints of my face after my foundation. It creates a very natural lit-from-within look which is perfect for everyday. If I want to opt for a bit more drama, I use Guerlain Terracotta Summer Glow on top. Love this soft-gold shade! Once again, the look is still very natural, but the golden glow makes your entire face come to live.

Couldn’t really write this post without mentioning a few skincare & fragrance faves. Glow Recipe Pineapple C Brightening Serum is literally EVERYTHING! Why? Because is does everything! Didn’t believe in it until I tired it for myself and now I am completely sold! It calms and soothes the skin, helps to keep it smooth and hydrated but also helps to brighten skin overtime! Love That! Guerlain Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil is what I use in cases of skin emergency. I apply it overnight and wake up to healthier-looking, rested, fresh face. Basically it’s my little skincare miracle!

It’s funny, my husband and I been to Las Vegas and stayed at the Venetian many times, yet we’ve never taken a gondola ride before. We wanted to, but somehow something always got in a way and we would leave promising that next time we’ll do it for sure! Well, it finally happened and it was everything it promised to be and more! Seriously! I particularly recommend taking a sunset ride, Las Vegas has beautiful pink sunsets which make this ride even more romantic.

Also, the dress matching my ride was a rather happy accident. I am completely in love with crochet at the moment, but the moment I saw this striped red, white & blue number, it was basically game over. Well, actually the entire Ulla Johnson collection is pretty high on my want list! The ruffle shoulder top… so good with jeans and white espadrilles (How cute are these Ciao Bella ones), right?

Floral Maxi Dress You Need Now

If I close my eyes and try to imagine my perfect summer dress – a floral maxi dress is what comes to mind! Don’t know what it is really, but floral maxis always make me feel pretty and feminine, so whenever I feel the urge to dress up, that’s what I normally go for! I wore the one below to a dinner date with my husband when we were in Las Vegas, and I am also taking it to wine country with me (mini trip we’re planning for this weekend) because it works just as well with cute espadrilles and a tote bag. But of course that’s what I like abut floral maxi dresses, they can be styled and restyled in every way imaginable! All you have to do is find a way you love to wear it the most.

To me, a floral maxi dress is the perfect dress for summer. Romantic and pretty, a like that a dress like this could be worn on different occasions. Dress it up with heels and a mini bag, or play it down with cute flats and a bamboo bag (how gorgeous is this one from my beloved Cult Gaia).

My favorite way of styling floral maxi dress is by pairing it with accessories of the moment – oversized buckle belts & mini bamboo bags. The particular one from Cult Gaia I am wearing in today’s post is definitely my go-to bag for everything at the moment. Easy to style and to wear, I love that wearing a slightly more casual bag with dressier pieces is a thing at the moment!

Why You Should Wear Black This Summer

I’ll be the first to admit that black is not the first color that comes to mind when I think about summer attire, yet this year, it’s having a moment and I must admit that there is something really chic about black summer pieces. The key to wearing this trend is to pair it with the right accessories. And what are those “right accessories” you may ask? Well, black looks incredibly elegant and chic for summer when you opt for gold jewelry, straw hats and summer appropriate footwear (sandals, espadrilles and slides).

Of all the black pieces you can wear this summer – a little black dress in eyelet, lace or linen is definitely my favorite option. Obviously great for day, you can easily dress it up for night, it’s a perfect option to take on a vacation with you thanks to it’s versatility. Basically, you will definitely wear it and wear it a lot!

Jewelry: I love to wear all black outfits with either gold or shell jewelry! It gives your outfit an extra pop of sparkle, not to mention that black and gold is such a stunning combination!

Straw and neutral accents are perfect companions for black summer outfits – they give all black ensembles that “vacationy” look and feel!

Last but certainly not least is footwear! I am actually really partial to a good pair of black sandals or espadrilles! The ones I am wearing in this post are about a year old, and they are still my favorite!

Summer of a Set

I love a good summer set! I mean, it’s basically 3 outfits in one type of a situation: wear together, or wear top & bottom with separates, basically endless styling options and you know hoe I love that!

Another great thing about sets is that they are fairly timeless and don’t really go out of style. I have a few from a couple of years ago, and I still love wearing them. The key to finding that staple set is going for something that’s comfortable, classic and elegant. Check out a few of my personal favorites below.

You know that I’m a big believer in accessories, and the right ones can really take your summer style to the next level! Currently and always, living for straw bags & gladiator sandals because to me, they are summer staples that never go out of style, go with pretty much everything imaginable (no matter what your summer style is) and give your outfits an extra pop of that sunshine vibe! Love that!

What about you guys, do you love a good set as much as I do?
