Road Map to a Perfect Staycation

Hello and happy almost weekend everyone! I wanted to say a quick hello and  share a few photos from a recent staycation Emil and I took. As I have mentioned before, we do not always find the time to go away or have a full blown vacations, however, we are strong believers in making time for ourselves, enjoying each other’s company, and taking a break from all the craziness from time to time. So for us, a staycation is a perfect way to disconnect without spending too much time on actual travel and getting to places.

Since we do go an staycations pretty regularly, I have developed a sort of road map to help make these little getaways as relaxing as possible and so, I’d like to take this opportunity to share a few of my tips and tricks with you.

First and foremost is choosing the right hotel; for me, it all depends on what I want to do—sometimes I want to be somewhere close to the beach and other times I want the city. Most of the time, when we opt for the city, I don’t just look at the hotel itself, although a cozy bed and a nice soaking tub are always a bonus, I look at the surrounding area as well. We drive pretty much everywhere in Los Angeles, so we love to stay in an area where everything is a walking distance away, being able to walk to cafes, shops, restaurants and everything else is always a plus in my book!

As far as staycation essentials are concerned, I could never enjoy a staycation properly without the following:

First, the comfiest lounge wear and pajamas. We like to stay in, order room service, and binge watch something on Netflix, so comfy PJs and cozy slippers are a must, and the absolute first things that gets packed.

Second, I like to bring a good pair of headphones with me. I love listening to music, so quality headphones are important to me, and if they also look cute, like the ones I’m wearing, then I’m all in!

Third, I like to pack a few beauty goodies with me. I love to stay in and make my own mini spa day during a staycation. I pack face masks, hair masks, body scrubs, lotions, oils, you name it! Because it’s a staycation, I don’t feel so guilty spending a little extra time on myself so I definitely take advantage of it.

What about you guys? What are your staycation must haves?

Meet Me in Malibu

Hope you all had a great week! Ever since coming back from Bermuda last week, all I have been craving is being by the ocean (and wearing pink!). Considering it’s been blazing hot this week in LA, it was a perfect opportunity for Emil and I to spend a few days in Malibu doing what we love best, i.e. beach bumming, eating out at our favorite local spots and enjoying cooler costal weather.

Malibu has always been a very special place for Emil, and we used to practically live there! You’d find us in Malibu 3-4 times a week easy, but because of our crazy schedule, we haven’t been going as much lately, so it was definitely a treat to spend a few days at our all-time favorite!

Because it’s been so hot in LA this week, even in Malibu, off-the-shoulder tops and denim skirts have become a bit of a uniform as of late. The one that’s been on constant rotation is the pink off-the-shoulder Petersyn perfection of a blouse  ( yet another Bloomingdale’s score, also obsessed with this one & this pretty asymmetrical one ) I am wearing in today’s post. Obviously love the color and the neckline, but it’s the oversized sleeves that attracted me to it in the first place. For today’s look, I paired it with a denim skirt for a relaxed summer feel. I love denim skirts in general, but this one is extra special to me, because I love this particular lighter blue wash which goes so well with any top color imaginable. Finishing touch – my pink, floral print Gucci loafers that I’ve been wearing non stop lately, mainly because they complete any look like nothing else, but also because of how comfortable they are!

What about you guys, what’s been your uniform lately?

Thank you Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle for partnering with me on this post!

Hello Summer

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all doing well and had a lovely weekend. I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few favorite moments from our recent getaway to Hotel Del Coronado. It’s actually been a bit of a dream to stay at this particular hotel. Coronado island has always been a special place for Emil and I. We came here a lot when we were still dating and planning our Wedding, and this particular hotel always captured our imagination and we always dreamed of spending a few days enjoying a beautiful ocean view it offers, so I am very glad we finally got a chance to do it!

To say that we enjoyed our stay would be saying nothing at all! Honestly, it was everything we were hoping it would be and more! We got to do all of our favorite things like breakfast with an amazing view of the ocean  (pancakes and French toast are our go-to’s!), hanging out at the beach, biking, and getting our tans on by the pool. Emil and I love mini vacations like this and try to take them as frequently as we can. Basically, we spent a few days doing what we love to do best, wining, dining and beach bumming, and what could be better than that!

Normally, when we go on vacations we plan on being pretty active, so I always pack plenty of cute and comfy separates like the pale pink Express denim shorts and super soft tee I’m wearing in today’s post. Another must-have – a pair of comfortable shoes and sneakers tend to be my go-to style. The pale pink satin ones from Express I am wearing in today’s post are by far my favorite pair at the moment! I mean, pink, satin sneakers, for me, it just doesn’t get better than that! I Perfect for a day of biking around the Coronado Island and walking pretty much everywhere, I love the way they look with blush denim. To add a pop of color to this look, I went with a pale blue neck scarf ( probably the one accessory I’ve been really obsessed with recently ). Love the way it elevates even the simplest of t-shirts and adds just a touch of polish to any casual look.

Hi Everyone! Wanted to share my latest obsession with you guys! And yes, it’s yet another one shoulder top. Just when you think you’ve seen them all, and bought them all, and there is none left, you come across a gem like the one I’m wearing in today’s post. I obviously had to have it.

Why I couldn’t resist this top is pretty self explanatory I think—from ruffle detailing all over to a pretty shade of green to the gingham I’m obsessed with, it’s a perfect summer piece to have. I like that it’s super versatile and can be worn in many different ways for all sorts of occasions. For example, the look you’re seeing in this post is what I wore to a dinner with my girlfriends over the weekend. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit simple with jeans and cute accessories (so obsessed with this bag!). I have also worn this top with white denim shorts, sandals, and a cross body for a day at the beach. I like that you can transform this into an off the shoulder top by just lowering the strap!

I dressed up the rest of the look with layered necklaces, bracelets, and my favorite Michele watch that I pretty much never take off. Also, as you might have noticed from a recent Instagram post, I got a few more piercings in my ear last week while in San Diego. I’m loving how it all turned out!

Happy Sunday Everybody! Hope you all had a lovely weekend and if it’s a holiday weekend for you like it is for us here in the US, hope you are having a blast! I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few photos of a look I wore to a dinner with my husband last weekend.

The plaid Isabel Marant skirt from today’s post is a recent find and a current favorite. Love that I can easily dress it up  with a pair of heels and a structured top, or down with  a pair of sneakers and a t-shirt. Today’s look is something in between, not completely dressy but definitely not casual either. In fact, I’ve been kind of living for these in between looks lately, often combining dressy pieces and casual ones in the same outfit. For me, this particular combination gives and outfit a very easy, chic vibe and helps to tone down some of the dressier, structured pieces I have in my closet, and makes them a lot more day-time appropriate.

4th of July Boat Trippin’

Happy 4th of July Everyone! Hope those of you who celebrated the holiday today had a wonderful time with your loved ones. This year I’m away from home for the celebration (spending the long weekend in the Hamptons with Revolve). So, since I wasn’t going to be in LA, my husband and I decided to have our own little 4th of July party a bit early.

We used to go to Newport Beach quite a lot. We’d rent a boat, ride around the marina, and have a mini picnic. And that is exactly what we decided to do this time around. The weather that day was absolutely perfect by the beach so we ended up having such a lovely time. We walked around, had lunch at one of our favorite spots, had some ice cream ( of course we had ice cream, I mean I can’t imagine a perfect day without it ), and eventually got on the boat. Those type of days make me realize how important it is to have quality time with your loved ones no matter the crazy your schedule gets!

I decided to go super casual that day and very 4th of July. I brought out my white and blue stripes, and my favorite red backpack. So this year I got into the holiday spirit way early! How about you guys, how did you celebrate?

It seems like every season I find a new label to love! Last year, summer was all about Caroline Constas for me, and though I am pretty loyal when it comes to label love, this year I have found a new obsession and it’s taken over my closet entirely.

I first came across Petersyn in the fall of last year. Late one night, as I was doing some on-line shopping ( I mostly shop on-line now, is it the same for you guys? ), looking for a cute off-the-shoulder top to wear with jeans, I stumbled upon the prettiest plaid number, which incidentally, was exactly what I was looking for in every way. And so, began my obsession!

Why am I so obsessed? Well, as you may already know, I am all about details and plain is never what I am looking for, but I also don’t like very loud numbers, so usually, I look for pieces that are understated, yet contain some sort of dramatic element, and Petersyn is a great example of that! Take the top I am wearing in today’s post for instance, the print is very subtle and the asymmetric neckline and dramatic sleeve are exactly the kind of details that transform everyday basics into statement makers! Love this one in particular because it pairs equally well with jeans and tailored bottoms, and can be styled to look casual or dressy depending on occasion. And of course I don’t have to tell you how much I appreciate that!

Good morning and happy almost weekend Everyone! A great fitting pair of white jeans is never not at the top of my summer must-have list. Easy to style, white jeans is something you wear with everything and everywhere, and of course I don’t have to tell you how important versatility is to me.

Having said that, a pair that fits well is not always easy to find ( personally, I hate it when white skinnies fit too tight ). So when I find a pair I like, I tend to wear it non stop!

Welcome my latest find and current obsession from Citizens of Humanity! Love, love, love the way this particular pair fits! Not too tight or too baggy, they have just the right amount of stretch to maintain their shape throughout the day, I also love the length because I can wear them with both flats or strappy heel without sacrificing the look!  Basically, if I had to imagine my perfect pair of white jeans, this would be it! So, I hope you won’t mind seeing them on this blog again and again!

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a lovely weekend! I wanted to quickly share some images Emil and I shot in San Diego a few weeks ago. I am super obsessed with this look so I hope you guys enjoy this post.

It was our last day in San Diego before we headed back to LA, so we decided to visit some favorite places as well as try a new one. It is no secret that we both absolutely love Cafe Gratitude. It’s our favorite lunch/dinner spot, and the San Diego location is probably the cutest of all. It’s right in the middle of Little Italy which we love to visit anyway, so that’s where we decided to go for lunch. After lunch, we wandered around a bit checking out new restaurants we could try the next time we’re in town, and came across Holy Matcha the cutest little tea and dessert  place (and the super picturesque interior!).

For my outfit, I went with army pants and paired them with uber feminine shoes and blush toned leather jacket to match. I absolutely love mixing casual with formal, that’s sort of my go-to recipe for a cool look when I’m in doubt. I think it’s been working for me!

Paris, je t’aime

Happy almost weekend everyone! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few favorite Paris places & moments with you. As you may already know, I absolutely adore Paris and love every second I get to spend in this magical city, and of course this time is no exception!

Often times when I travel to Paris, I get super busy with either a project I’m working on, or which is more likely, dealing with the craziness of Paris Fashion week, so when I return home, I am left feeling like Paris and I clearly did not spend enough time together! But not this time! This time around, while I was in Paris, I had quite a bit of time to enjoy myself and indulge in all my favorite Parisian things (like wandering around the city, drinking coffee, eating croissants and of course shopping! Is there anything like shopping in Paris? I think not!).

My favorite time in Paris is early mornings. I love how empty and quiet the city is. I like to find a cute cafe, get my coffee and croissants, and just people-watch. Though I’ve been to Paris quite a bit over the last few years, one thing that I noticed is that it does not get old. The beauty of it takes my breath away every single time! I already can’t wait to visit again.

Don’t you just love it when you can combine all your current favorites in a single outfit? I know I certainly do, and the look I’m sporting in today’s post just happens to be a great example of that! I am completely and utterly obsessed with each individual piece, so naturally, being able to wear them all at once is a great treat!

Cropped Flare Jeans – at first, I was a bit reluctant to let go of my skinny jeans, I have to admit that now, I actually prefer the flared cropped styles we’re seeing so much at the moment! For one thing, this particular silhouette is really flattering and I love the fact that I can wear them with pretty much every shoe style imaginable like flats, blocked-heel sandals and of course my other obsession du jour – platform espadrilles.

Why Platform Espadrilles? I must admit that I have been wearing a lot more flats lately, every once in a while, I do want a bit of a lift. Yet, I don’t want to sacrifice comfort just because I feel that a particular outfit would work best with a heel. So lately, whenever this happens, I’ve been reaching for a pair of platform, wedged espadrilles because in my opinion, they are a perfect combination of style and comfort!

Last but certainly not least – off the shoulder necklines! I said it before and I will say it again, if I had to choose a single item to wear for the rest of my life, off the shoulder something would definitely be at the top of my list! Feminine, delicate and soft, I feel that off the shoulder pieces always add a slightly romantic touch to an outfit. Personally, I like pairing them with more casual pieces, like denim for example. Love this combination in particular because the casual and feminine pieces complement each other and always give an outfit an easy, flirty vibe!

Thank you Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle for partnering with me on this post.

Hi Everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I could not be more excited to share today’s post with you! It is my first post from Positano, a place I have wanted to visit for so long, and that dream became a reality this last week (long overdue!).

Love at first sight, I still cannot decide what it is I like about Positano the most: the beach, the charming city, the warm and kindhearted people, the delicious food, or simply the wonderfully relaxing atmosphere and the lovely ambiance of the place. Perhaps, it is all of the above, but one thing is for certain, as far as favorite destinations in Italy go, Positano is definitely it for me and although this was our first visit, there are certainly many more to follow. In fact, we are quite settled on making this our annual Summer stop ( I mean, I can’t imagine not coming back here next year )!

As I have mentioned before, I love experiencing a new place early in the morning – aside from the fact that you get to avoid the crowds, there is a certain kind of magic about having a place all to yourself, and wondering around the empty streets. Personally, I feel that this way you really get to experience a place on a completely different level. What about you guys, do you agree?

P.S. I’ll be sharing our Positano travel diary this week, which will include favorite shops, restaurants and travel tips in general. So stay tuned!

My love for not so basic basics continues… Currently, I am on a high-waisted cropped flare jeans high, because, well… because they pair so beautifully with anything from crop tops to tucked in lose-fitting button-downs and everything in between. In fact, I am so addicted at this point, I’ve been buying them in every color imaginable, but the dark navy pair I am sporting in today’s post is my favorite by far.

Aside from the fact that this particular wash makes them a bit more evening appropriate, which means that not only can I wear them during the day, but I can easily dress them up for night, the reason why I love this particular pair os because of the way it fits. The high waist helps to elongate the silhouette, and the cropped length means that I can pair these with pretty much every shoe style imaginable from high-heeled pumps, and sappy sandals, to sneakers and slides. Love, love, love that!

So good with pretty much any shoe style imaginable, from boots to stilettos, I also love the fact that you can easily dress this combo up or down. Worn with heels and a clutch, this combo feels very chic and fresh for night, but add a pair of flats and a cross-body bag and you got yourself a cute daytime look:) Basically, the possibilities are endless, and of course you know how much I enjoy that!:)

This time around, I paired them with yet another favorite, i.e. a statement making button-down with exaggerated, bow-embellished sleeves. As I have mentioned before, as much as I love a good basic, I always look for special details that make those live-in basics a bit more special, and this top is a great example of that. Perfect on it’s own, I also love the way it looks under any structured topped like a cool leather or denim jacket, or my personal all-time favorite: a fitted, perfectly tailored blazer. Basically, win, win in every possible way and of course you know how much I love that!

Special thank you to Express for partnering with me on this post.

I’ve often talked about just how important fragrance is to me. In fact, I feel that it is an integral part of who I am and unlike other beauty products I use, which tend to come and go, my scent is my signature and is, in many ways a constant.

Now, I will admit that I do change my signature scent from time to time, but because my relationship with fragrance is so personal, it happens quite seldom and often represents a change or a significant event in my life. Why is that? Well, mostly because I feel that my fragrance is very much representative of who I am at the moment, or even who I would like to be, in a sense that I never want to be still and I am always looking to evolve as a person.

If you read my blog on regular basis, you may remember that I mapped out a few personal goals in the beginning of this year, and one of the resolutions I have made was to travel more. Aside from the fact that travel expends your horizons, makes you view the world and things around you in a completely new light, I’ve always believed that one of the most important things one can acquire in life is memories. Things come and go, but memories is what remains with us forever, which is probably the reason why I certainly treasure mine the most. And so, I set out on the path of traveling more, creating more memories and, seeking new adventures.

I didn’t notice the change in me right away I think, but over time, I have become aware that I am more open and somehow more in tune with everything around me, more confident and, definitely more equipped to deal with challenges I face day to day, no matter how big or small and it is perhaps this change that inspired me to reach for a new, bolder fragrance.

Though I have used more that a few Michael Kors perfume over the years, Wonderlust Sensual Essence captured my heart and imagination like no other. Inspired by the exhilaration of the new adventure, something that immediately struck a cord with me, I love how sophisticated, strong, yet feminine this scent is. I absolutely adore the combination of fresh notes of Nashi pear, black cherry and orange blossom with a delicate, warm notes of amber! To me, Sensual Essence creates a perfect balance between elegance and sensuality, and wears beautifully day and night!

What about you guys, have you tried the new Wonderlust Sensual Essence yet?

Vacation Staples + Perfect Pieces to Pack for Your Next Trip

Happy Sunday everyone! I’m excited to share yet another post from Positano with you guys, and it is all about my travel essentials.  Since it was my first time visiting Positano, and Amalfi Coast in general, I knew there was going to be a lot of walking and exploring to do. So comfort was definitely something of a priority for me!

For this particular trip, it was a lot of denim cut offs and cute off-the-shoulder tops. At this point I don’t think I need to explain my obsession with off-the-shoulder tops anymore—super feminine and flirty, they happen to be, well… probably my number one vacation staple. I particularly love the LoveShackFancy Carrie Top I’m wearing in today’s post. Gorgeous embroidered eyelet fabric, which is light, breezy and so comfortable to wear! Oh, and the fact that it looks equally appealing on the beach or paired with a dressier bottom for dinner later, is a big plus for me!

Most of the time, I think that no matter how simple and casual an off-shoulder top is, it’s still feels a bit dressy because of the bare shoulders, so for day, I like pairing it with super simple and comfortable pieces like denim cut offs. My second vacation staple —they are perfect for the beach, exploring the town, riding a bike, going out to eat, literally everything! I definitely pack a few pairs and wear them all throughout my vacation without a fail!

Last but certainly not least are accessories! Lately, I am marginally obsessed with metallic strappy flat sandals! Comfortable and casual, yet that sparkle adds a bit of something, something to the look no matter how simple the rest of your outfit is!

What about you guys, what are some of your vacation staples?

LoveShackFancy Carrie Top | Frame Le Original Shorts | K Jacques Delta Metallic Leather Ankle Strap Sandals | Prada Midollino Large Leather Trimmed Canvas and Wicker Tote | Cloverpost Tribute Necklace, Tear Slope Necklace & All Choker Necklace | Monica Vinader Riva Kite Rose Gold Vermeil Diamond Bracelet & Sterling Silver Diamond Bracelet

Lace Up Love

Usually, when I go on vacation, I like to pack at least one dress I can easily dress up or down with accessories. Something flirty and fun I can wear to dinner paired with heels and a clutch ( in this case with wedged espadrilles and Cult Gaia bag I’ve been wearing with pretty much everything lately ) or with flats and a casual tote for day, if I feel like taking a break from my normal vacation uniform, i.e. off-the shoulder tops & denim cut-offs.

This time around it was this pretty Zimmermann number I picked up from Net-a-Porter recently! Aside from the fact there is never really a moment when I am not lusting over at least one Zimmermann dress, what made this one so special for me was the winning combination of pretty floral print, fit-and-flare silhouette, and of course the last up back detailing!

Also, and this one is kind of important, comfort is key when I choose which pieces to take on vacation with me. This dress, as pretty and dressy as it is, wears like a dream because it’s made from a lightweight linen and cotton blend fabric, so it’s easy, breezy  and comfortable, not to mention the fact that it stays wrinkle free throughout the day, which for me, is another big selling point!

Provence with Mon Guerlain

I have very few dreams that lingered as much as the one to visit Provence one day. The one destination that was always at the top of my must-see list, somehow ( and I blame it on my schedule and life in general ) I never actually got around to visiting. Well…, that is until now, because when about 3 weeks ago Guerlain, otherwise known as one of my favorite beauty brands of all time, reached out offering a chance to visit Provence and discover their latest amazing fragrance – Mon Guerlain, it seemed like a match made in heaven.

We arrived to Provence early in the morning and checked in to our home away from home for the next few days, the charming Le Domaine du Colombier. Postcard perfect, we fell in love with this rustic, boutique style hotel the moment we saw it! So, if you guys happen to find yourselves in the area, I highly recommend it! Think french country decor, amazingly delicious food and gorgeous scenery all around! The hotel is also located in the heart of Provence, which happens to be the place where Guerlain sourced all of its lavender for the Mon Guerlain scent, so, there is a little bit of beautiful Provence in every fragrance bottle.

After settling in, we spent the rest of the day hiking, discovering the area, and visiting the Baume des Anges farm where we learned about plant extracts and why Baume des Anges extracts are so unique, different and flavorful! After our hike, we were treated to a glass of cold, lavender lemonade ( which contain lavender extract from Baume des Anges, same extract that is in the Mon Guerlain fragrance ) and I can tell you that I have never tried anything quite like that before! We learned that lavender extract can be used in so many ways such as cooking, adding flavor to dessert and drinks, and of course make beautiful scents, like Mon Guerlain, that we get to wear every day. We wrapped up our afternoon with a mini picnic and learning a bit more about the nature surrounding us. It was so serene and beautiful! Once we got back to our hotel, it was time to get ready for dinner. It was a lovely evening learning more about Mon Guerlain from the Guerlain team, such as the inspiration behind the scent, and mingling with other influencers from all over the world.

The following morning we got up early and headed over to the lavender fields. Provence has lavender fields all over, however, we got to visit the exact field where lavender was harvested for the Mon Guerlain fragrance. Believe it or not, all the lavender for the scent is sourced from the same place, and we got to visit it. The visit really put into perspective all the steps that need to be taken to create a scent; it certainly made me appreciate fragrances that much more! Visiting lavender fields had been on my bucket list for a while, and I’m thankful to Guerlain for taking me there and teaching me so much about the process that goes into creating lavender extract and eventually a fragrance. After the lavender fields, our entire crew headed over to have some lunch at the cutest little restaurant with a gorgeous view where we got to try lavender inspired desserts in the end. So delicious! I wish there was a place in LA where I could eat those. To continue with the lavender theme, after lunch we headed over to the distillery to see how the process of distilling lavender works. We got to see the exact place where the lavender extract is created that then goes into the Mon Guerlain bottle. So cool!

This trip was incredible in so many different ways for me. I finally got to visit Provence after years and years of wanting to see the place; not only that, but I got to experience it with Guerlain and learn all about how Mon Guerlain fragrance came to life and even visit the field where lavender for this fragrance was collected. I got to meet some of the team behind the scent – everyone was so passionate and dedicated, it was an absolute pleasure to get to know them and spend some time with them. Now, every time I reach for my Mon Guerlain bottle, I’m instantly filled with incredible memories that transport me to the peaceful and beautiful Provence. I felt an immediate attraction to this very sensual and feminine fragrance, because as I have mentioned before, for me fragrance is very personal, and I connected to this fragrance on a very intimate level. I’ve often said that when it comes to personal style, effortless elegance and sophistication is what I strive for, and for me, the stark contrast between Carla lavender and sweetness of the vanilla Tahitensis evoke a feeling of just that!

Though normally, my motto for weekend dressing is comfy and casual, I have to admit that every once in while, I really enjoy trading in my weekend uniform, which consists of denim shorts and off-the-shoulder tops as of late, for something a bit more glamorous!

Originally, I had this gorgeous Dolce & Gabbana number in mind for Italy, but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time, so once I got back to LA, the first order of business was to take this pretty floral number our for a walk somewhere fabulous. Luckily, this Sunday was exactly such an occasion. One of my really good friends got married and since the wedding took place outdoors in a rather informal setting, I finally got to wear what is probably one of my favorite dresses of all time.

The funny thing is that I don’t wear print all that much. Normally, I am very comfortable in my solid colors, and if I do wear print, I opt for a something very subtle ( like this dress for example ), but I suppose there is an exception to every rule, because I fell in love with this beautiful blue and green hydrangea print the moment I saw it!

Aside from color and pattern, what I love about this dress the most is of course the neckline ( Hello! Never met an off-the-shoulder dress I didn’t like! ), but also, it’s day-to-night transformation potential. Though it does pair beautifully with strappy heels and structured mini bags, it works just as well with flhttp://shopstyle.it/l/emLxat gladiator sandals and literally any wicker bag imaginable. Basically, it goes from rather dressy to super casual with a simple change of accessories, and of course you all know how much I love that!

A Day in Amalfi

Happy Friday Everyone! I’m so excited to share the final post from my Italian adventures. Although, we haven’t been back in LA for very long, I’ve been missing Positano and Amalfi like crazy, so I’ve just been staring at these photos, reminiscing, and thinking of a way to get back there asap!

Although we spent most of our time in Positano, we did manage to carve out some time to visit Amalfi, and I am so glad that we did because it was love at first sight as soon as we got there! We spend most of the day walking around town, exploring, and making our mandatory gelato stop of course! You know me, I can’t live without gelato! Funny thing is, I stopped at the first gelato place I saw, pointed at the cone I wanted, and was given a pound of ice cream. I’m not joking, it was actually that much! Somehow I finished most of it too… No regrets though, because it was seriously that good!

One of the things we really enjoyed about walking around Amalfi was stopping by tiny little shops that are pretty much everywhere. Honestly, I could not get over all the beautifully painted pottery. If I had any room left in my suitcases, I would have brought so much back home. A friend actually told me that I can ask them to ship it wherever, so my shopping plans are set for the next time I’m in town! Since it was our last night in Italy, we wrapped it all up with a huge Italian dinner, majority of which, we spent planning on what we’re going to do in Italy next time. Obviously Positano and Amalfi were at the top of our must-go-back-to list. Honestly, we can’t wait to go back!
