The spring has officially landed in Los Angeles! I could not be happier, especially since I just recently came back from Paris where it rained pretty much every day I was there. The temperatures are in the 80s, the sun is out, and I cannot help but start thinking of spring appropriate outfits.

Most of the time, when I put outfits together, I start with accessories. This season white accessories are very in, which I love, considering how they complete virtually any outfit imaginable, so I’ve been on the hunt for white shoes and bags for some time now.

The one white bag I have not been able to get out of my mind is the Celine Box Bag. Perfect shape and size, I love that it’s structured, which makes it really easy to combine with both casual and dressy pieces. The one tiny wrinkle on my plan to get one, was the fact that it’s sold out everywhere!

Now, I’m not a quitter, especially when it comes to bags that I want, so I continued my search for it online and found it on one of my favorite sites – Trendlee. Seriously, their selection is absolutely amazing and new stuff comes in all the time. I love shopping on Trendlee because it’s secure and your bags come with a certificate of authentication. I think that’s super important when you’re shopping for designer handbags and forking over a pretty penny for it. Easy return policy puts my mind at ease as well that in case I change my mind, I can send it back.

This Celine bag has become an obsession of mine since it arrived. It’s so timeless and simple yet super elegant. In today’s post I paired it with a more casual day-time look featuring an off-the-shoulder top, jeans, and Chanel slingbacks. I like how it pulled the look together and its white color brought a certain spring-time feel to the outfit. But I’ve worn it with little white dresses and structured numbers for evening and it worked just as well. And of course I don’t have to tell you how much I love that!

Casual in Paris

Happy weekend everyone! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share one of the more casual looks I wore during Paris Fashion Week, which ended up being absolutely perfect for wondering around rainy Paris! Comprised entirely of all my current favorites, I really couldn’t say which one of the pieces I am sporting in today’s look I love the most, although, the comfy, cozy and extra warm padded jacket was a blessing since it was a bit colder that usual in Paris this time around.

Speaking of wondering around Paris, not that we usually sleep well when we are there ( that jet leg gets us every time ), but for some reason, we had an especially hard time falling and staying asleep this time around. So, rather that staying in bed, trying to fall asleep, we got up extra early in the morning and used the time to explore Paris, and I must say, it was really quite magical!  Usually Paris is buzzing with life, cars and people everywhere, but early in the morning, it felt very peaceful and quiet, and we had all these places we wanted to explore, like Museé de Lourve for example, all to ourselves. In fact, we liked our new routine so much, that that’s what we are planning to do from now on, especially if we want to explore some of the bigger tourist attractions.

Spring Staples

It looks like summer temperatures are sticking around for a little while longer here in Los Angeles, which I am definitely not complaining about since our winter was a little rough this year, well…by our standards anyway. But the warm weather is the reason why spring/summer wardrobe, a.k.a. my dress code, has been on my mind a lot lately and I’ve been stocking up on a few staples for the upcoming season. Not complaining about that either! Because is there anything better than shopping for upcoming season? This month, I partnered with Express to refresh my wardrobe.

express-vivaluxury-dress-loewe-bag-red-8

express-vivaluxury-dress-loewe-bag-red-7

express-vivaluxury-dress-loewe-bag-red-4 express-vivaluxury-dress-loewe-bag-red-6

Though in general my outfits vary from day to day; sometimes I feel like going totally casual, and some days I feel like dressing up for no particular reason, when it comes to my wardrobe staples, I always go for clothes that I will feel most comfortable in and most myself. Basically the kind of pieces that will be on constant rotation for the next few months.

express-vivaluxury-dress-loewe-bag-red-2

For the most part, my staples always include denim, wear-anywhere off-the-shoulder dresses, and easy-breezy tops with cute details. Denim paired with cute tops is my favorite off-duty look. Comfortable and stylish, I think what I love about jeans the most is how easy they are to style. A simple accessory change like swapping out sneakers for heels and an oversized tote for a structured bag can transform denim from casual to dressy and I think it is this particular quality I enjoy so much. The pair from Express in this beautiful light bluish-gray wash is a favorite as of late. Aside from the wash, I am obsessed with the fit, not too tight yet not totally slouchy and with a perfect amount of stretch, I can’t stop wearing these!

Also, I can’t talk about wardrobe staples without mentioning off-the-shoulder dresses. Feminine and delicate, there is something universally appealing about them and come spring/summer, I can’t imagine my wardrobe without them. Currently, the one I am sporting in today’s post from Express is the one I’ve been wearing the most! For today’s look, I paired it with white slides and a bright red bag for a pop of color, but it’s equally appealing styled with cute high heel sandals for a dressier look. Love that!

Last but certainly not least are tops with cute details like the adorable striped number with front ruffle I’m wearing today. Perfect in every way, I really can’t decide what it is I love most about it, the ruffle detail, the color combo or the fit! Oh, and this particular shade of blue pairs beautifully with just about every denim wash imaginable, a quality I definitely appreciate, since as you well know versatility is what I look for the most in clothing.

What about you guys, what spring/summer staples make up your dress code?

Thank you Express for partnering on this post!

Hello everyone! I wanted to say a quick hello and share another one of my casual looks from Paris Fashion Week. Like I mentioned in the previous post, Paris was colder and rainier than usual this time around, so I really had to bundle up to keep warm, especially if I wanted to walk around the city and explore, which is a must in Paris.

In today’s post I’m wearing a black shearling jacket, super comfy Givenchy boots, perfect for walking around, and my Paris splurge — a Louis Vuitton Twist PM bag. Though I normally do a bit of shopping while I’m in Paris, since it rained so much, I found myself hiding out from the rain at the Galeries Lafayette, and doing a lot more shopping than I normally do, so I did some damage. I blame it all on the rain! It’s seriously such an amazing handbag though. It goes with just about everything, and I have found myself reaching for it time and time again since I bought it, so it’ll definitely be making a number of appearances on the blog. Hope you don’t mind!

I’ve been working hard on expending my collection of cozy toppers this season, and this gorgeous NSF parka is my latest score! Perfect in every way, from color to length, I just love the way it fits!

When it comes to parkas, it’s hard sometimes to find that balance between way too fitted and clearly too slouchy, but this one definitive nails that perfectly oversized look! So good with skinny jeans or leather pants, it works just as well with dresses and boots for that cute, nonchalant day time look. Basically, the possibilities of wearing it are endless and of course you know how much I love that!

I love Spring in LA! While it’s warm enough to get away with bare legs, it’s just cool enough to keep on wearing my favorite sweaters. Knowing full well that this weather may not last long, I’m taking full advantage by wearing all my favorite minis, sweaters and boots.

Today’s look, for example, is comprised entirely of all my old and new favorites! Don’t you just love when that happens? When you can wear all your favorite things in one outfit… I personally do, so this has been one of my go-to looks for the moment. Completely obsessed with suede minis in general, what I love about the one I’m sporting in today’s post is the wrap effect and of course the grommet detailing on the side. Perfect for pairing with just about everything, I love the way it looks with studded boots and casual knitwear. But I’ve worn it with heels and dressier top options and it did just as well. Love that!

What about you guys, what are you mostly excited to wear for Spring?

Spring is officially upon us in LA! The temperatures are steadily warm, the sun is shining, and I can’t seem to stop shopping for my spring staples.

The latest victim of my spring shopping spree was Bloomingdale’s, specifically their 100% Exclusives Collection. Everything that I’m wearing in today’s post is from there, and with so many great options, creating a cute spring outfit couldn’t be easier!

At this point, it should be of no surprise to anyone that I added yet another off the shoulder top to my collection. I simply can’t get enough of them! They are all different and unique to me in their own way, so I feel like I have to have them all. Another spring staple that I always stock up on are denim skirts. Though I haven’t met a denim mini I didn’t like, largely because they are so easy to dress up or down, the one I’m wearing in today’s post is a bit of favorite at the moment thanks to patchwork details and distressed look, and you know me, I am all about special details! So naturally, it was love at first sight!

bloomingdales-VivaLuxury-4

bloomingdales-VivaLuxury-2 bloomingdales-VivaLuxury-7

Speaking of flats, I tend to wear them more and more. Cute and comfy, I like the way they add a certain ease and casual vibe to an outfit. In fact, I must confess that I’ve added quite a few pairs to my ever expanding shoe collection lately, including these blue suede ones SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker I’m wearing in today’s post. I love the double straps and a pointy toe, which not only makes them look a bit more polished and sophisticated, but also does a great job elongating silhouettes. Oh, and of course blue suede… I could never resist a cute blue suede shoe!

Last but not least, a definite spring staple is a white bag. It goes with pretty much any spring/summer outfit and I’m particularly loving the silver metal handles on this one from Street Level.

Thanks to Bloomingdale’s I got to add a few more spring staples to my closet. Needless to say I’m eyeing a few more things from that Exclusives Collection. By the way, they currently have the Friends & Family event going. It’s 25% off a great selection of items at Bloomingdales.com and free shipping! You can use the promo code FRIENDS at checkout through April 9 to take advantage of this.

Thank you to Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

Pretty in Pink

Good morning everyone! For today’s post I am excited to partner with Shopbop and ShopStyle to talk about one of my favorite trends this season – the color pink. Personally, I feel that pink is a rather misunderstood color because it often gets equated with being overly girly and somewhat uncool, but in my opinion, it all depends on styling, and there is certainly a way to wear pink in a very fashionable way.

shop-bop-VL-6

shop-bop-VL-4 shop-bop-VL-8

shop-bop-VL-3

One of the ways I like to wear pink is head-to-toe. This may sound counterintuitive, yet as long as you keep to strong or understated shapes and silhouettes, head-to-toe pink can create quite an impact which is both polished and sophisticated. For today’s look, I chose to go with not-so-basic basics to create a monochrome look combining various textures like mohair, silk, leather and suede. Each and every piece I’m wearing in this look certainly has personality, yet isn’t overly embellished which is why the look has a rather sophisticated vibe and doesn’t look overly girly. Another styling trick I often use when wearing pink is adding cool accessories like mules rather than heels, and a pair of cool shades. The pink suede mules I got from Shopbop the other day are definitely my favorite pair at the moment. Aside from being very comfortable, I love this particular shade of pink because it wears like a neutral, yet adds just the right touch of color to your look! Finishing touch – yet another recent Shopbop score, this cute mini floral-print leather tote. As I have mentioned before, I rarely wear floral prints, yet there is something really charming about this particular one. Minimalist and soft, I love the way it pairs with various shades of pink but also with anything denim, and of course you know that versatility is the name of my game.

5 Valuable Lessons I Learned After I Started VivaLuxury

$

0

Hello everyone! Recently, I had the pleasure of partnering with Pandora and POPSUGAR to talk about some of the lessons I’ve learned since I’ve started VivaLuxury and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to share some of them with you. Hope you enjoy!

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-2

What you were doing before you started VivaLuxury? Were you a journalist? Were you a photographer? Were you working in fashion?

My background is in IT, and I worked in the field for about a year. I truly enjoyed it, but I felt like I needed a creative outlet. I started the VivaLuxury for that very reason. At first it was just a hobby, but very slowly it became my full time job and an enormous part of my life. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me.

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-1

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-3 thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-5

I understand there was a Hollywood designer who motivated you to start the blog. Can you tell us more about why you found her suggestion so encouraging?

She was just an incredibly inspiring woman to me. She started her own business and built it from the ground up herself. She was very determined, dedicated to her craft, and worked extremely hard. She was a true believer that anything is possible, and that was just so inspiring to me. I’d like to think her work ethic was so contagious that it motivated me to start my own business.

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-6

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-10

What blogs, websites, magazines were you reading at the time? Where were you getting your source of inspiration at the time?

I have always had a subscription to Vogue, I absolutely love looking at the editorials there. Other than that, I draw my inspiration from iconic fashion moments and specifically classic movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-9

So you started your blog, and were you working as well? Can you tell us what you were doing in addition to blogging?

After graduating university, I worked in IT for about a year and realized that as much as I enjoyed working in my field, fashion really is my true passion and I wanted a job relating to fashion industry. And so I quit my job and came on board as a production coordinator working for a Hollywood shoe designer Elisa Ferari. We ended up becoming very close and designed a shoe collection together which solidified my desire to be in the fashion industry.

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-13 thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-15

When and why did you decide to make the jump to full-time Viva Luxury? Was it a certain number of visitors? Positive reactions on social? Was it because you found out a way to generate a profit from it?

Very slowly VivaLuxury started to take up more and more of my time. It was so subtle at first until I noticed that I am staying up later and later to take care of the blog. At some point it was just not feasible to work my full time job and run the blog so I had to make a choice. It was not an easy one to make, but I’m glad I chose VivaLuxury.

How many hours on average do you spend per day working on it?

Sometimes it feels like I never stop working! I really do dedicate most of my day to work. Even when I’m not physically doing something, my mind really never stops thinking of shoot ideas, outfits, upcoming travels, etc. I believe there is always room for improvement, and that is what I strive for on daily basis.

thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-17 thevivaluxury-pandora-jewelry-18

What’s one thing you wish you knew in terms of self-management? Do you wish someone had told you what it was like to work autonomously?

The problem I struggle with is that I am a workaholic. I love what I do and sometimes I feel like I can’t stop doing it. It’s so important to disconnect and take time for yourself every once in a while. When I worked at my previous job I had more or less set hours which made it easier to separate work from life and create a healthy balance. Working for yourself, however, it’s much harder to do. One thing that is helpful is keeping an organized calendar—it helps you stay on track and make sure you leave time for yourself.

What do you wish you knew about self-confidence? Is there something you wish you knew about the importance of feeling confident in your decision-making skills as a business owner?

I wish I knew how much I’d have to trust myself. When you’re your own boss, all of the decision making comes to you, and a lot of times it is a lot of pressure to deal with. Learning to trust yourself can be a process, but it is very important. I found that it helps to surround yourself with supportive people that you can lean on for advice if you need to.

What’s one thing you wish you knew ahead of time related to work-life balance?

I wish I knew how challenging it would be to have a healthy work-life balance. Working for yourself, you do not have a set schedule, and it is very tough to separate work from home. Often times I get so lost in what I’m doing, I don’t realize it’s past midnight. I have been slowly learning how to take time for myself. Sometimes you just have to put your phone and laptop in the other room and enjoy being with your loved ones without your phone buzzing.

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share some photos with you from last weekend. Emil and I decided to go on a day date— have some brunch, wander around, watch a movie, etc. We didn’t have concrete plans in mind, but I knew the day called for a casual outfit. However, as you may already know, I always like to add a bit of a twist to my casual looks.

In today’s post, I’m wearing my latest find and current obsession –  Chanel sneakers I got while I was in Paris for Fashion Week. Comfy and casual, the pearl detailing and black and white tweed add just a bit of texture and dram to make them a real statement shoe. For today’s look, I paired them with Forte Couture denim that also happens to have pearls on them. I have been obsessed with  pearls on jeans for a while but haven’t been able to find the perfect fit until these ones.

The rest of the look I tried to keep on a simpler side. I went with a white Nicholas top with eyelets detail all over and flared cuffs. I thought it went perfectly with the rest of the look without being too overpowering. I finished off with my latest obsession that is the Louis Vuitton bag that I believe goes with just about any outfit.

Cargo Love

Happy almost weekend, everyone! I am super excited to share this post with you because I finally found the perfect pair of cargo pants. I know it may sound a bit dramatic, but I have been on the hunt for ages. Most of them fit too baggy and just awkward. One day while strolling around Robertson Blvd, I popped into Intermix like I normally do, and instantly spotted these pants. I knew they were the ones before I even tried them on! Love the tighter fit, lace up details and a very sporty feel!

Because the pants are on the sportier side, I decided to bring a little edge to the look and threw on a studded leather jacket. This one is really special to me because I got to customize it myself at the Nour Hammour studio in Paris during fashion week—clearly, I think the more studs the better!

As far as accessories go, I kept it pretty standard. I went for one of my favorite Louis Vuitton bags at the moment along with a pair of sock boots (I also happen to be obsessing over). I think my favorite part about them is the perforation all over and the mid-calf length.

You might remember a few weeks ago when I did a Spring Staples post featuring some Express items. Well, I teamed up with Express again for another one! I just couldn’t help it when I came across the suit I’m wearing in today’s post.

I don’t know about you guys, but I have been spring cleaning and getting rid of the old stuff and stocking up on the spring staples. To me, this suit is an epitome of a spring staple. First and foremost, I love the color—it’s not your typical black/gray/tan suit; instead, it’s a beautiful grayish with a hint of blue and the coolest denim-like texture. I spotted it in the store right away and of course had to have it.

It works out perfectly for my day to day life. My schedule gets pretty hectic with appointments, shoots, meetings, photo shoot location scouting, and everything in between. What I love about this suit, is that it works perfectly for any occasion—just go for the right accessories, and you’re set for just about anything; in this post I’m wearing it with sneakers for a cool-casual feel and lots of comfort since I had to be out and about the entire day. The suit works just as well with a pair of pumps and a blouse for a more sophisticated look.

I talk about this quite frequently on the blog, but I love pieces that I can accessorize differently to bring a whole new feel to the look, and this suit is exactly it. It’s versatile and appropriate for so many occasions, it’s certainly a favorite in my closet right now.

Festival 2017 Recap

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and a good start to the new week. I spent the last few days in Palm Springs for the festival weekend and I’m not going to lie, I had an absolute blast! In fact, my team and I had so much fun, we are actually considering doing it all over again next weekend.

Personally, I love festival weekends because you get to experience a little bit of everything; relaxation time by the pool, which I do not skip out on, but also the parties of course, since I get to catch up with so many friends from all over US and the world, really, who come to Palm Springs especially for the festival weekend. Then of course there is the festival itself. I love going —it’s just fun to hang out with your friends, listen to good music, indulge in all kinds of food, and simply have a good time. Something about the energy at these events makes you forget about everything negative and really appreciate the moment!

This year I had a mix of casual and dressy outfits for the weekend although denim skirts and crop tops were definitely my go-to options. I love this super comfortable combo because it can be dressed up or down ( I tried out both ways this weekend, tell me which look you like more). As far as accessories, I definitely went heavy on the backpacks. They’re the perfect option for the festival—easy to throw on, super cute (obsessed with the Chloe one I’m wearing), and they keep your hands free. Love!

Happy Weekend, everyone! Today, I wanted to share some of my favorite foodie places in Los Angeles with you guys. I guess it is also a bit of a diary from my Friday today so let’s begin!

At this point, it is no secret that I am a huge fan of Cafe Gratitude; I think it is a forever kind of love because I’ve been frequenting this place for years now. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, so I can never pass up on an opportunity to stop by. Even if I’m not hungry for a full meal, I’m always in the mood for one of their shakes and/or something sweet to go with it. Today, for example, I had a smoothie with a donut—super yummy!

Another one of my favorite places, which happens to be right by Cafe Gratitude Arts District, is Amazebowls. I love acai bowls in general, they are such a yummy and healthy treat (or at least I’d like to think so). This place can make them for you in a coconut so it’s delicious and extremely photo friendly—a perfect combination in my book.

I also got to visit a new place today, which quickly became a favorite—the Museum of Ice Cream. It was the cutest spot! I posted a bunch to my Insta Stories—from the popsicle room to the gummy bear room to the sprinkle pool and everything in between, it was such a fun experience. I got to taste all kind of ice cream flavors and needless to say the photo opportunities are endless there.

Last but not least is the La Tropezienne Bakery. It’s an adorable French place perfect for grabbing some dessert, coffee (or juice, like today), and freshly baked baguettes to take home. French inspired outdoor seating is a perfect place to snap some photos.

I have been wearing quite a bit of pink lately. Aside from the fact that it’s very on trend this year, I actually always had a bit of a soft spot for this pretty color. Yet, as I have mentioned in one of my previous posts, pink has a bit of a reputation for being overly girly,  so I always make sure to pair to with something edgy or tough to keep a look from becoming too feminine.

Fot today’s look, I opted for a pair of distressed boyfriend jeans, which happen to be a particular favorite at the moment ( last seen here ). Aside from the way they fit, I love this particular shade of grayish blue, which tends to go so well with any pastel color. Though I was tempted to trow on a pair of mules for a moment, I decided to go with a pair of satin sandals. First and foremost, they are new, and if you read my blog on regular basis, you probably know that nothing in this world can prevent me from wearing new shoes the moment I get them, but also because I feel that they add a slightly romantic touch to this outfit and work very well with soft, famine ruffles on the blouse.

Current Skin Care Routine

I don’t think I realized just how much my schedule affects the way my skin looks up until a couple of months ago. The truth is, things have been a bit more hectic than usual and I have certainly traveled much more than I have in the last few years. In fact, starting February Fashion Week, I don’t think I’ve spent more than 1 week at home, often traveling to different time zones and opposite climates all within a span of a week. Don’t get me wrong, I love traveling and I certainly enjoy this life, but this lifestyle was bound to take a toll. And it did. At first it was very minor, just a few little changes here and there, but eventually I have noticed that my skin just didn’t look the same. It looked dull and tired, and no matter what I tried, I just couldn’t get back to that healthy glow.

Well, since I wasn’t planning on slowing down with traveling, switching up my skincare routine seemed like an obvious answer. After trying a few different things, I came upon Clé de Peau Beauté la crème, and since I’ve used their products in the past, I decided to give it a try. The difference was enormous, and after a week my skin started to get back to its original shape. I think one of the biggest differences I noticed was that my skin looked brighter and firmer, basically the way my skin looks after a really good vacation – healthy and radiant. I also noticed that the texture of my skin improved overall. All of a sudden, my make-up went on much smoother, and the appearance of my pores definitely improved.

Since I’ve had so much success with Clé de Peau Beauté, I’ve added another 2 products to my current skin care routine. The first is the clarifying cleansing foam, which I use morning and night, to deeply cleanse and remove impurities. A lot of deep cleansing products out there tend to be very drying, so what I like about this particular one, is the fact that it’s very gentle and doesn’t strip moisture from my skin. The second product I added is the hydro-clarifying lotion which I use after cleansing. Not unlike the clarifying cleansing foam, it does a great job balancing my combination skin without making it look or feel dry. Quite the opposite actually, because my skin always feels very soft and hydrated after each application.

Last step in my current skin care routine is of course the Clé de Peau Beauté la crème. I use it every night and I feel radiant the next day. As I have mentioned above, it really made a huge difference in the way my skin looks, and in all honestly this is one of the best creams I have ever tried because it addresses a few skincare concerns (like dark spots, moisture and firmness). Since I don’t have as much time as I qouls like to dedicated my skin care, I really appreciate my current routine that takes less than 2 minutes.

North Carolina with Burt’s Bees

I am super excited to finally share today’s post with you guys. If you have been following my blog for a while, then you know that I am a huge Burt’s Bees fan. I’ve loved and used the brand for as long as I can remember, and I had to pinch myself when they reached out to me about working together for the very first time. I’ve done countless posts about some of my favorite Burt’s Bees products since and today’s post is not an exception, yet it is a bit different since I’ve had the pleasure of going to their North Carolina headquarters to meet with Burt’s Bees’ team, and get to know some of the latest product launches.

As you may already know that one of the reasons I enjoy traveling so much is because I love discovering new amazing destinations, and the Fearrington House Inn at the Fearrington Village, or as I like to call it, a “home away from home” for the duration of my Burt’s Bees trip, was exactly such a discovery. Picturesque and charming, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it! I also appreciated the fact that the Burt’s Bees team made sure we had plenty of activities to choose from to keep us busy, like biking around the village, hiking, spa treatments, and yoga sessions. Though I will freely admit that I haven’t done quite as much yoga as I should have, Ninel and I took full advantage of the readily available bikes to explore everything Fearrington Village had to offer and must have spent hours riding around, which was definitely one of our favorite parts of the trip!

Speaking of favorites, as you may already know I love Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons, in fact that’s what I wear 90% of the time, day or night. But during this trip, I discovered yet another lip product to love – the new Tinted Lip Oil. What I like about it so much is the fact that it’s super moisturizing and since my lips tend to be on the dry side, I always look for products that keep them looking and feeling hydrated. At the moment, my go-to day shade is Caramel Cloud which I tend to wear on its own since I prefer natural-looking lip color during the day, but for night, I like to layer it over Burt’s Bees lipstick in Nile Nude to create a perfect nude pout which goes oh-so-very-well with a smoky eye makeup I wear at night a lot.

Another discovery –  the new Complete Nourishment Facial Oil. Love how versatile this product is — it can be mixed into your moisturizer or used on its own; it’s super hydrating yet not at all greasy. I also like to apply it to the ends of my hair to bring a little shine and health. Another way I like to use this oil is on my hands, specifically cuticles if they get a bit dry.

On the last day of our trip we got to visit the Burt’s Bees headquarters and the lab. I learned a lot about bees over lunch there, and just how much we need and rely on them. The most interesting part was visiting the lab—it’s nothing like the labs we’re used to seeing. Because Burt’s Bees uses natural ingredients, the lab is completely open! While there, we made custom shades of  Tinted Lip Balms with the help of one of the scientists, it was such a fun hands-on experience.

Spending a couple of days in North Carolina with Burt’s Bees and getting to know more about the brand and people behind it, made me appreciate my Burt’s Bees products so much more. Thank you Burt’s Bees for having me, it was such a wonderful experience!

Pattern Play

If you read my blog on the regular, you probably know that normally, I’m a solid colors kinda gal. Yet even I couldn’t stay away from this season’s trendiest patterns and prints. Aside from the fact that there is a great variety to choose from, from dark florals and rainbow stripes to graphic prints and bold plaid, I think what I find most appealing this season is that there are quite a few subtle prints that even a print-shy person like me can easily incorporate into their wardrobe. So, I’d like to take this opportunity to discuss a few of my current favorites, starting with the one print I’ll be waring all Summer long – Gingham!

Graphic and bold, what I like about gingham the most, is the fact that it makes such a statement and instantly adds a touch of drama even to the simplest of pieces. The dress I am wearing in today’s post is my latest Bloomingdale’s find ( 100% Exclusive, so Shop It Here before it’s gone ) and my absolute favorite at the moment. Love how easy and flowy it is, yet as with all my favorites, it certainly has that versatile quality and I can easily dress it up or down with accessories and pair with a variety of different color to completely transform the way it looks.

I couldn’t imagine talking about this season’s trendiest prints without mentioning stripes! Universally flattering, go-with-anything stripes are definitely my favorite print because it is so easy to wear and works so well with my everyday summer essentials like jeans and shorts. The top I am wearing today is yet another Bloomingdale’s find  ( also a 100 % Exclusive, Click Here to Purchase ) and has been on constant rotation as of late. A great option to pair with high-waisted denim, I also love the way it works with more casual bottom options like shorts or cargo pants. Basically there is literally no wrong way of wearing this top, and that is always a great quality in my book!

Last but certainly not least is subtle floral print. Usually, I am not a huge fan of florals prints because they can come across as too pretty, but I feel that subtle florals prints add just a touch of femininity to the look without being overly bold or girly. Take the dress I am wearing in today’s look for example, the subtle print adds a slight romantic feel to this outfit, yet because the floral print is so soft and delicate it doesn’t come across as too vivid or obvious. Love that!

But what about you guys, what’s your favorite patter or print this season?

Thank you to Bloomingdale’s and ShopStyle for sponsoring this post.

Excited to share today’s post with you guys because I have been really into acquiring vintage pieces as of late. The obsession with vintage started with Chanel jacket I am wearing in today’s post. When I came across it online, I just fell in love and had to have it.

Why vintage? First, vintage pieces are extremely unique; chances are, you will not see another person wearing exact same thing you’re wearing. It’s a bit of an exclusivity feel that makes me enjoy wearing this jacket even more. Second, vintage items come with a little bit of history; so, this jacket had a whole different life prior to entering mine. Sometimes you even get to learn about your vintage item’s history prior to purchasing it, which I think is really cool!
