SUMMER BLUES

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

This one, is yet another one of those outfits comprised entirely out some of my new and old favorites! The cute tank and shirt I'm wearing in today's post were a B-Day gift from my mom. That alone automatically puts them into a category of all-times favorites, yet the fact they just happen to be comfy and flowy and in my favorite shade of blue, elevates them right to the top of that list:)

The pair jeans I am wearing in today's post is basically the end result of the search for that elusive pair of perfect boyfriend jeans I've been immersed in for the past, oh... well pretty much for ever! Why am I so obsessed with this pair? Well, in the past I've been able to find a pair that fits right, or a pair that has just the right amount of distress and even a pair in that particularly appealing shade of blue I like so much. But, it is only now that I finally found a pair that combines all of the above!

Finally, I have to confess my weakness for making lists. In the beginning of every season, I sit down and make a list of my absolutely necessities. The reason behind the obsessive list making is really quite simple. I am a certifiable shopaholic, so when I go shopping I get distracted:) Instead of buying a pair of those black strappy sandals I actually need, I end up going home with petty much anything but! So, I make a list and I stick to it, or at least I try to:)

Well, ever since I can remember, the very first thing on my Summer must-haves list was a pair of white sandals! Something simple, yet elegant I can pair with everything from jeans to cocktail dresses. Naturally when I spotted this pair of Saint Laurent sandals, I knew I found exactly what I was looking for. I've had them for about 2 months now, and I have to say this is definitely the pair I wore the most, which I am sure is also evident from the amount of appearances they made on this blog. And since the shape is so classic I have a feeling we are going to be inseparable next Summer as well:)

Good morning and happy Friday, Everyone! I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images of the outfit I wore yesterday to run some last minute pre-Fashion Week errands, i.e. meetings, shopping and getting my hair chopped off. By the way, I was going to go real short this time, but chickened out at the last minute again, and took just a few inches off:) Oh well, it's gonna happened some day!

Since fall is right around the corner, my obsession with leather pieces is back with a vengeance:) Always on a look out for cool leather separates, I found this jacket and shorts at Marciano last week and I am completely in love with them. I've already worn them separately a few times, but I kinda like the way they look together. I think pairing a tailored, feminine jacket and athletic-inspired, loose-fitting shorts creates an interesting effect. What do you guys think?

P.S. Today is the last day to enter PANDORA International GIVEAWAY to win a bracelet and charms, so if you haven't already done so, CLICK HERE to Enter!

NEW IN :: MICHAEL KORS ADELINA RUNWAY SANDALS

Morning Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I wanted to say a quick hello and share a few current obsessions and favorites.

I got these awesome Michael Kors heels especially for Fashion Week, well... Fashion Week was really just an excuse because I've had my eye on them for a while now:) Personally  I am very happy to see thicker heels making a big comeback this season. As much as I love my stilettos, I am oh-so-very-ready for a more comfortable shoe, and thicker heels are definitely easier to run around in! Aside of course from the heel, what I really like about these particular sandals is how versatile they are. Yes, yes, I know, I talk about versatility all the time! But it's so important to me to be able to wear my favorite shoes in a variety of ways because once I find something I like, I pretty much tend to live in it:)

The second obsession du jour is this amazing gel manicure I got especially for Fashion Week. I know, I am a bit late to the whole gel nail thing. But since I like to change my nail polish colors often, normally I just stick to regular nail polish. However, thinking that I probably don't wonna waste time getting a polish change in New York, I decided to try the gel option instead. And OMG, I absolutely love it! I got it done a few days ago and my manicure looks exactly like the day I had it done, not to mention the design options are pretty much limitless! Now, I am not saying I will switch to gel premaritally because I think I will get tired of wearing the same nail color for more than a week, but it's definitely a cool option to keep in mind for vacations, trips, etc. What about you guys, have you tried gel nail polish? How do you like it?

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your week is going great so far!

I would like to take this opportunity to announce the winner of Pandora International Giveaway! Congrats to Sheela Robles, I hope you enjoy wearing your Pandora bracelet and charms!

Also, I wanted to share a few images of my new absolutely favorite dress! I got it especially for Fashion Week and just couldn't resist taking it out for a walk a bit early:) In my defense, the dress is pretty irresistible! I mean, you know how I feel about neon colors but combine neon with fringe, relaxed fit, and cotton tweed and you've got one perfect dress! So, I have a feeling it's going to be one of those dresses making multiple appearances on this blog, I hope you don't mind:)

NEW YORK - I LOVE YOU!

Good morning, Everyone! I hope your week is going great so far!

I suppose I want to start by saying I love New York and I especially love New York during Fashion Week. This city is always magical of course, but the kind of infectious energy that seems to take over the city during fashion week is simply indescribable, and to be quite honest with you, this same energy takes over me as well. Though I get up super early, especially taking into consideration the 3-hour time difference between LA and New York and pretty much go, go, go all day long, I never feel tired! Every morning starts with a feeling of sheer excitement and ends with me wishing it was the next day already so that I can get up and do it all over again!

So, as I was getting ready to shoot this outfit, which just so happens to be one of my favorite looks, I decided to do something a little different and share a few images documenting my adventures during fashion week. By the way, the reason why I like this outfit so much is because lately I've been obsessed with prints as well as black, white and grey color combinations. So naturally, when I spotted this dress, I knew I found exactly what I was looking for. Because I wanted to create a clean polished and modern look, I chose to pair this dress with my Nine West Amability pumps. Aside from being really comfortable, which is so important during fashion week since I am running around all day long, I love how bold and edgy they are! I think the combination of leather and suede creates a very rich texture, and of course the caged detailing in the front makes such a bold statement!

As I have mentioned before, my day starts pretty early. Normally, I am up at 7am and out of the door by 8. Next comes a whirlwind of shows, meetings, fittings, lunches, brunches, dinners and events. Naturally, I love it all:) but I also appreciate a little down town, which gives me a chance to visit some of my favorite New York spots, like Central Park for example. One of the things I love to do, is to grab a cup of coffee, sit on the bench, do a little people watching and just enjoy the sounds of the city that never sleeps or stops.

As I am writing this post, I getting greedy to head back to LA, and though I am happy to get back home, I can't help but wish it was February already, so that I can be back here amidst all the wonderful Fashion Week madness:)

TOYING WITH TRANSPARENCY

Good morning and happy weekend, Everyone! So, I am back in LA and a little sad Fashion Week is over. Yet this was the very first Fashion Week Emil and I didn't attend together. After being together for 8.5 years and married for a little over 7, this was the first time we spent a week apart. Technically speaking spending 7 days apart shouldn't be a big deal at all, but we are a little attached at the hip, or a lot attached if you ask most of our friends, so saying we are happy to be back at each other's side is a bit of an understatement:)

I came back from New York on Thursday a little sick and a little jet legged, but mostly probably tired, so we had a quiet evening at home. By Friday, however, I was back in a fighting shape, well mostly back:) So, we decided to go out for dinner to one of our favorite restaurants in downtown LA. I don't know whether I'm still in Fashion Week mode, but I just didn't feel like dressing down, so I jumped at the chance to take one of my favorite dresses on the town. Now, when I say one of my favorite dresses, I actually mean my favorite dress of all time! Seriously! I am absolutely obsessed with this dress and drive myself crazy trying to decide what I like about it the most! Is it the lace skirt, or the beading or perhaps the light-as-air-fabric it's made of, or maybe it's all of the above, but regardless of what it is in actuality, I find it completely irresistible and have a very difficult time wearing anything else. I already have all these outfits planned out involving this dress, for example I think it would look so cool paired with a chunky knit, so I hope you won't mind too much seeing it on this blog over and over again:)

Good morning, Everyone! How was your weekend?

Well, it's official, I said I will never complain about Cali weather for as long as I live... and I am about to break this promise! Sure, I am more of a Summer person and warm, sunny days make me as happy as can be. But, and there is a really BIG BUT here, once the temperatures soar to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (or 40 degrees Celsius) that is where I draw the line!:) It's been like this for the past couple of days, so being outside pretty much feels like taking a nice long walk in a blazing hot steam room. In other words, not pretty at all!

To add insult to injury, I did a bit of shopping while I was in New York last week, and got the cutest sweaters and boots for Fall. The thought of which makes me cringe a little right now, considering it's been so hot in LA lately, I would gladly parade around town in my bathing suit:) Of course, since swimwear is not exactly appropriate attire to run around LA, I've resorted to the next best thing, i.e. my silk Calypso caftan. I also got it while I was in New York, mainly because I loved the shape and the print but now, I have a completely new appreciation for how light and airy it is. Wearing it feels like you're wearing nothing at all! And considering LA weather lately, wearing nothing at all feels like a pretty good idea at the moment:)!

BOTANICAL BRIGHT

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Well, the heat wave in LA continues, in fact it feels like it's getting hotter and hotter by the moment. Though according to all the weather reports the end to this madness is in sight, I continue to fight the urge to parade around town in as little clothing as possible, waiting for the temperatures to cool down. So, through trial and error, I've discovered that dresses seem to be the best option at the moment, especially something light and airy, like the beautiful Elle Sasson number I'm wearing in today's post.

I fell in love with this beautiful color-blocked botanical-print perfection of a dress the moment I saw it! I mean if you read my blog on regular basis, you know how I feel about bright colors and full skirts, so I suppose the fact that I love it is not that surprising after all:) But the combination of bright colors, rocking prints and a fabulous twirl-worthy skirt made it completely irresistible! Not that I've been able to give it a proper twirl yet. I tried of course, but the heat makes spinning around just a tad uncomfortable. Still, I have a feeling since the dress and I are going to be friends for a long while, I will get a chance to do my twirl dance after all:)!

Good morning and happy weekend, Everyone!

Never thought I would be welcoming cooler weather with open arms, but I guess there is a first for everything:) I woke up on Thursday, opened a window in my bedroom, expecting to feel the familiar blazing heat coming from outside, but instead I was greeted by a soft, cool breeze. And just like that, the heat wave was over! I can't tell you what a pleasure it is to be able to spent time outdoors without feeling like you're in a sauna:) Welcome jacket weather! I missed you so much:)!

Since Emil and I had a few meetings and errands to run, I figured this was a perfect opportunity to finally take out my IRO separates for a walk around town. If you follow me on Instgaram, you may recognize this outfit. I wore it in New York to a Tod's event, but thanks to the less-than-comfortable temperatures in LA lately, I haven't been able to wear it in LA yet and of course share with you guys:) There is something about tailored separates I find completely irresistible! Sure, they are super versatile and can be worn in an infinite number of ways and paired with just about anything, but I prefer to wear this jumpsuit and blazer together. Something about an all-white look feels so clean, polished and crisp. What do you guys think, how do you feel about all-white ensembles?

THE JEWEL WRAP - VIVALUXURY FOR DVF

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! If you read my blog on regular basis, I am sure you know what a huge Diane von Furstenberg fan I am, which is why I am absolutely ecstatic to partner with DVF yet again. This time around, I got a chance to style my all-time favorite - the wrap dress. One of the reasons why I love this particular silhouette so much is because of how incredibly flattering it is. The combination of the plunging v-neck and defined waist, in my opinion, helps to accentuate the smallest part of your body and to create an incredibly feminine silhouette.

Though the wrap dress comes in a variety of styles and shapes, and choosing a favorite was not an easy task, I just couldn't resist adding this beautiful jewel wrap dress to my ever-expending wrap-dress collection. From the moment I saw it, I fell in love with the mixed prints, the color and of course the fuller pleated skirt! You know how I feel about full-skirted dresses:)

For this look I chose to maximize the impact of the jewel tones trend coming in for Fall 2014. So, I added a cross body bag and a pair of mirrored shades in a color palette similar to the print of the dress. I could have easily went for a more neutral bag and sunglasses, but I really wanted to opt for a more fun, playful option. And don't you think the fun option is "more fun" anyway?:)

Finally, because I didn't want this look to appear overly girly and pretty, instead of my usual stiletto heels, I opted to wear a pair of sandals with a thicker heel. In my opinion the thicker heel not only adds a certain weight to the look but also helps to make this outfit more day time appropriate. What do you guys think? How would you style the dress?

THE POWER RED

Good morning, Everyone! I hope your week is going great so far!

If you read my blog on regular basis, you probably know that I have a bit of a weakness for a well-tailored suit. I don't really know what it is, but to be honest with you, when Fall comes around, a good suit is what I get most excited about wearing:) Perhaps I have a soft spot for pieces with masculine & feminine traits or maybe I simply can't live without my tailored separates, but regardless of what it is, I find suits absolutely irresistible, especially the ones in such a gorgeous shade of red:)

Reason why I love this particular suit, aside from cut and color of course, is because it's so versatile! Yes, yes, I know, I talk about versatility way too much, but I just love items I can wear day and night:) Take last Saturday for example, Emil and I had a few meetings during the day, and I wanted to look polished and professional, so I figured this was a perfect opportunity to bring out my new red suit. Afterwards, we decided to meet up with a few friends for dinner at one of our new favorite restaurants in downtown LA, so I swapped my bag for a clutch, added a pair of dangling earrings and voila - a perfect night-time look!

What about you guys, do you share my obsession with suits?

Good morning and happy almost weekend, Everyone! Hope you had a wonderful week!

I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few images of an outfit I wore to a friend's cocktail party in Malibu recently. You see, for the past little while I seem to be having a real dressed up moment. Normally, I love my jeans and denim cutoffs yet as of lately, it's been all about the glitz and the glamour. So, as I was searching for a perfect thing to wear to this cocktail party, I was definitely looking for something a bit more special. Naturally, once I came across heavily embellished, perfectly detailed creations from Virgos Lounge, I knew, I found exactly what I was looking for:)

Since Virgos Lounge specializes in occasion wear pieces, there were quite a few amazing dresses to choose from. And believe me, it took me a while to pick a favorite:) But I think what made me choose this particular dress in the end was the combination of contemporary silhouette, a decidedly vintage inspiration and of course the amazing detailing. You know me, I'm all about those special details:)

Though I love the combination of gold and black, and this dress would have worked perfectly with a pair of black suede strappy heels, I wanted to keep this look all about metallics. So, I chose to pair the dress with silver heels and mixed gold and silver jewelry. I thought about pulling my hair up for about 2 seconds, but in the end, because the dress and heels are so dressy, I decided to keep my hair down for a more relaxed and casual look. Now, I may have regretted this decision later, since Malibu tends to get a little windy, but I guess the tousled beach hair added a certain flair to the outfit:)

Good morning, Everyone! How is your weekend going?

I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few pics of an outfit I wore recently. As I have mentioned previously, I couldn't be happier the sweater weather is finally here! Though we don't necessarily have a proper Autumn in LA, as of lately, it's been just cool enough so that I can finally start wearing some of my new Fall favorites. Since I am a complete and total shoeaholic, come September, one of the things I get excited about the most is Fall footwear and boots in particular. So, for the past few weeks or so, I've pretty much been dying to take my new Isabel Marant boots for a walk. Though, I've developed shoe obsessions in the past, most of them pale in comparison to how I feel about these boots! If I had to imagine a perfect pair of boots, these would be it! Comfortable and stylish, they have just the right amount of those details I love so much! I could never really decide what it is about them I love the most, but the combination of chunky straps, pointed toe and cone-shaped heel, to me, is simply irresistible!:)

Good morning, Everyone! I hope your week is going great so far!

If you read my blog on regular basis, you may already know what a big Armani admirer I am, which is why I am so proud to introduce you to one of my favorite fragrances - Sì by Giorgio Armani.

To me, a perfume is more than just a trail of scent you leave behind as you go through life, but rather a signature, something that is uniquely you, something that says more about you and your style than perhaps any piece of clothing or a pair of shoes can. Though I've used many perfumes over the years, none of them captured my imagination quite like Armani Sì. Delicate and sophisticated, strong yet particularly feminine, to me, Sì is a perfect balance of elegance and sensuality.

Good morning and happy almost weekend, Everyone! I am excited to share yet another post from my year-long collaboration with Nordstrom Rack as part of their year-long campaign.

Now, if you read my blog on regular basis, you know how I feel about blazers, and menswear inspired ones in particular. So, I decided to create a borrowed-from-the-boys look based on one of my favorite combinations - a blazer and leather pants. To highlight the menswear inspired vibe of the look, I chose to pair the blazer with a white button-down and a skinny tie. I then added a pair of strappy heels and layered gold jewelry, for just a hint of femininity. And voila! All done! :)

I am also excited to announce that I'll be hosting an event with Nordstrom Rack to open a new store in Brooklyn next week. During the event, I'll be hosting an INSTAGRAM GIVEAWAY for a Nordstrom Rack gift card and one lucky reader will have a chance to win a gift card for themselves and a friend! I'll be announcing the GIVEAWAY details on Instagram on October 7, so stay tuned!:)

P.S. The new store is going to have some amazing treasures and finds, so be sure to check it out once the store opens on October 8!

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your enjoying your weekend so far!

I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images of my new pearl pieces from Gold Philosophy. I've always been a big fan of pearls, but lately seeing pearl jewelry take on a slightly edgier look just makes it that much more appealing for me. The main reason I am completely obsessed with the pieces I am wearing in today's post is because I feel they are feminine and glamorous yet edgy, modern and slightly rebellious at the same time. Yet another reason I love them so much is because I am such a big fan of layering jewelry and these particular pieces look great worn separately or combined together for a more dramatic look. And I don't know about you guys, but when it comes to jewelry, dramatic always wins in my book:)!

ON THE EDGE

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I wanted to take this opportunity to continue the conversation about Fall essentials by adding yet another item to my must-have list. Personally, I can't imagine my Fall wardrobe without a great leather jacket. Aside from the fact that a leather jacket pairs with pretty much anything from jeans to dresses and goes from day to night with a few right accessories, it's also absolutely timeless and never go out of style.

Just like with most of my wardrobe staples, I am pretty particular about what I like and when it comes to leather jackets: quality, cut and detailing are some of the main things I consider. Reason why I fell in love with the gorgeous Dawn Levy one I'm wearing in today's post is because aside from being impeccably tailored and crafted, it has just enough of those special elements I look for. I think the zipper detailing and the beautiful Clover color alone make it a stand out piece, but the combination of snapped tab collar,  fold over lapels, ribbed shoulder and elbow panels make it absolutely irresistible:)!

What about you guys, what do you look for in a great  leather jacket?

BLACK N' BLUE

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to a few of my recent Fall acquisitions, starting with the amazing leather detail coat I'm wearing in this post. If I had to name the most essential piece of outwear every girl should have in her closet, a great black coat would be it.

Aside from impeccable tailoring, fit and length, reason why I love this particular one, is the presence of those leather details. You know me, I can't live without a bit of embellishment!:) But in this particular instance, I feel that the leather collar and sleeves add a bit of an edge to an otherwise classic-fitting coat.

Another essential I can't imagine living without is a pair of black skinny jeans. Currently, I am a bit partial to coated denim, and the jeans I am wearing in today's post are definitely my favorite pair at the moment. Generally speaking a pair of perfect-fitting black jeans is not always easy to find, but these are soft and comfortable, yet have enough stretch to maintain shape throughout the day. Oh, and my personal favorite thing about them - rose gold zipper detailing on the sides:)

Finally, I don't think it's a secret I am a little obsessed with cobalt. Ok, maybe a little more than obsessed:) But in my defense, cobalt is one of those amazing colors that pairs beautifully with just about anything. Naturally, once I spotted this gorgeous trapeze bag featuring bright cobalt front, black leather and metal corners, it was love at first sight! It's completely crazy but it looks great with everything in my closet! Seriously! So, hopefully you won't mind seeing quite a bit of this bad boy on my blog in the near future:)!

Good morning and happy Friday, Everyone!

I guess you could say I've been cleansing my palette lately. You may have noticed the overwhelming presence of black in my outfits lately. I don't really know what it is, but as much as I love bright colors, lately it's been all about black and more muted, calmer colors for me. This happened quite suddenly and without any explanation or reason, I simply got up one morning and felt the urge to step away from my beloved brights for a little while. Take today's look for example, normally, I would have paired a grey sweater with something in pastel, but the new me, wanted to keep the palette calm and neutral, so I opted to pair it with black and light beige.

Not that I am saying goodbye to brights and pastels for ever, but for now, I am definitely enjoying my black/muted colors moment! Hope you guys don't mind:)
