SHORT SHORTS IN SAN DIEGO

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your week is going great so far! I wanted to say a quick hello a share a few images of our recent trip to San Diego. We were there to celebrate my sister's in law B-Day. I think I may have mentioned before that she just graduated from Law School in San Diego and is studying for her Bar Exam right now. Normally, we celebrate her B-Day in LA, but this year, since Bar is literally taking over her life, we decided to come visit her instead so that we can spend her B-Day together! We ended up having an absolutely wonderful time, our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend together! So naturally, we are planning another trip to San Diego pretty soon:)

Those of you who went to Law School and studied for the Bar Exam must know how tough it is, so if you don't mind, Emil and I want to take this opportunity to wish my sister in law the best of luck! We love you Ninel and we are so proud! You are gonna do great!

Hello Everyone! How is your weekend going so far? So, I can't really begin to count the number of times I talked about constantly wearing heels on this blog. I've been wearing them so much and for so long that frankly, it feels kinda weird not wearing them:) Though some high heels are more comfortable than others, at this point, I am more or less ok navigating the streets of LA even in the highest of high heels I current own. Well, at least until yesterday that is. Emil and I went out for dinner, so I put on a pair of my favorite stilettos, as we were walking out of the restaurant, I tripped on a staircase and managed to twist my ankle. It's nothing serious, but wearing high heels was definitely out of the question for today, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to wear my Miu Miu oxfords. After wearing them all day today, I have to say,  I gotta give this flats thing another chance! I know I am probably super late to the "I LOVE FLATS PARTY", but I figure, it's never too late to change your mind. Not that I would ever stop wearing high heels completely, but I should definitely start wearing flats more often! I know...., I know...., I said it before but this time I really, really mean it! :)

COBALT N' CROP

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend. If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen that Emil and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary recently. Yep, we've been married for 7 whole years! Sounds kind of strange when I think about it, because I still remember my wedding day so vividly... getting ready in the morning, putting on my wedding dress and seeing my darling boy standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me... If I close my eyes, it really does feel like I got married very recently, certainly not 7 years ago!:)

Since we are such hopeless romantics at heart, and take our anniversaries incredibly seriously, we've developed somewhat of a tradition these past 7 years. We start the day by having breakfast at one of our favorite places, next we take a nice long walk in West Hollywood and then we head on to Malibu for a romantic dinner somewhere close to the ocean. Another anniversary tradition is of course the exchanging of the gifts. Every year, we aim to give each other something that is very special and meaningful, and this year was definitely no exception. Knowing, I've developed a bit of an obsession with PANDORA jewelry recently, Emil gave me the beautiful bracelet with charms from the Alphabet & Symbols collection I'm wearing in today's post. In addition to cute heart symbols, one in silver and the other in rose gold, the letter charms spell out our names. Now, imagine my reaction when he first gave it to me! Let's just say there was quite a bit of  jumping, and dancing and going "Ahhh" every few seconds or so! Emil also told me he plans to add a heart symbol to this bracelet every year we spent together... Didn't I tell you we are hopeless romantics!:)

LAVENDER & LACE

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your week is going great so far! So, I feel like after wearing this Helmut Lang blazer in 4 of my recent posts, I owe you a bit of an explanation:) Those of you who read my blog on regular basis, know that blazers happen to be a particular weakness of mine. But finding a great-fitting white blazer, well..., that is a full-blown obsession! Despite the fact that you can find white blazers in great abundance pretty much anywhere you look, finding just the right one is not always so simple. I have to admit, I am a bit particular about the fit. Normally, I look for something that isn't too long, or too short, is well-tailored and works with both dressy and casual looks. So, when I spotted this dream-of-a-blazer, I knew I found what I was looking for! Of course now the problem is that I can't stop wearing it! Honestly! I really can't! It goes with everything I have in my closet and somehow manages to complete every look in the most magical of ways! So, I apologize in advance if it is going to continue making an unprecedented number of appearances on this blog. Basically the blazer and I are completely inseparable and I simply can't imagine parting ways, even for a little while:)

Hello Everyone! Just wanted to say hello and share a few images of my new favorite totally twirl-worthy dress. Can't really decide what I love the most about it, the color, the full skirt or the cut-outs on the front! Whatever it is though, it's definitely one of those happy dresses I love so much! So far, I've worn it 3 times, and each one of those times involved an obscene amount of skipping and twirling:) What can I say, I love a dress that moves... and this one certainly does! :)

LIVING IN LAVENDER

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Emil and I spent the last few days in Malibu in an attempt to escape the blazing hot city. As I have mentioned before, Malibu tends to be at least a few degrees cooler than the rest of LA, so when temperatures rise, we tend to escape to our beloved oasis. I know I talk about Malibu all the time, probably a little too much, but it is such a special place or us. In fact, I can't really think of an instance where we didn't have a great time, and of course this visit was no exception! Two whole days of being gloriously lazy, just swimming, kayaking, working on our tan and going out for dinners! 

In fact, Emil and I shot these pics right before we headed to dinner. After spending the entire day in my bikini, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to dress up a bit:) Since color plays such an important role in my outfits, when creating a look, normally, I start by thinking about the color palette. I absolutely love the combination of gold, lavender and different pastel colors, so I paired a lavender romper with pale pink pumps and gold accessories. Yet, I find that when I pair a lot of pastel colors in the same outfit, it helps to add a few accessories in a darker shade. I think this adds a certain depth and weight to the look, which is why I added my Ferragamo Buckle Collection  sunglasses and watch in a beautiful shade of brown. Another reason why I think these sunglasses and watch work well in this look, is that they help to add a certain touch of polish and modern elegance to an otherwise very flirty and feminine look. What  do you guys think?

KINDA CASUAL + CURRENT FAVORITES

Hey, Everyone! How is your week going so far? Just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images of some of my current favorites, like the coolest pair of chained and shredded jeans I got in Huston. In my experience, finding a pair of well-fitting white jeans, isn't easy at all. Most of the time the fit is either too tight, or too loose or they are completely see-through. But this particular pair isn't super tight around the ankle, which I think, creates a more flattering fit and the denim is nice and thick so I don't have to worry about sharing any undergarment details with the world:) And as far as shredding and chains go, well... that's just an added bonus. My second favorite at the moment is the super cute Gingham dress I got recently. Absolutely love the cute print and bows on the sleeves, and of course you know how I feel about full skirts:) Now, onto my final favorite:) I've had my Pierre Hardy wedges for about a year now and they are seriously indestructible! I worn them to the beach, walked around ankle deep in sand, dropped them in the ocean on a few different occasions ( yes, I am not the most graceful person ever ), and nothing! No matter what kind of abuse I put them through, I come home, dust them off, and they look brain new. Aside from this very surprising practical aspect, they are actually quite comfortable and pair beautifully with pretty much everything, especially my Summer staples like denim and white. Practical, pretty and comfy, I mean what else can a girl ask for in a shoe?:)

SUMMER WHITES

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you're enjoying your weekend. As I have mentioned in my previous post, a good-fitting pair of white jeans is not always easy to find. So when I do, I pretty much tend to wear them non stop:) I love the way this particular pair fits! They are not too tight or too baggy, and have just the right amount of stretch to maintain the shape throughout the day. And of course you know how I feel about special details... And this pair certainly has enough of those special details to spare! Basically, if I had to imagine my perfect pair of white jeans, this would be it!:) So, I hope you won't get tired of seeing them because I have a feeling they are going to be making quite a few appearances on this blog!

IN FULL BLOOM

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! As you can see my love affair with dresses is in full swing!:) The particular one I'm wearing in today's post, in an old favorite. I've had it for about a year now and wore it countless times on so many different occasions like engagement parties, Friday night dinners with Emil and even more casual occasions like brunch and shopping with my girls. Aside from the silhouette and the beautiful grey floral print, I guess, versatility is what I like about this dress the most. It can be easily dressed up with a pair of heels and a sparkly clutch or dressed down with cute flats and a structured bag. 

On this particular occasion, Emil and I had a late dinner with a few of our friends. Since the occasion was somewhat formal, I paired the dress with the cutest Jimmy Choo color-blocked heels, my Chanel boy bag (my go-to bag for pretty much anything), a pair of pink sunnies and my Ryan Storer ear cuff. Though I wanted to stick to a simple color scheme, I couldn't resist adding just a touch of pink because I love the combination of pink and grey and also because I think this very delicate shade of pink helps to soften this look and add a certain feminine touch.

Hey, Everyone! How is our week going so far? I wanted to take this opportunity to share pics of my new favorite pair of sandals ever! And they are flats! Honestly, since I pretty much wear high heels 24/7, I never thought that a pair of flats could make me weak at the knees, yet that's exactly what happened! I went to Intermix looking for a dress to wear in Vegas, and of course couldn't resist checking the shoe section while I was there. And that's where I found them, sitting on the shelf in all their chained and embellished glory. Oh, and once I put them on, that was petty much it! Game over, they simply had to come home with me:) I love, love, love absolutely everything about them, the chain links, the spikes and the crystal embellishments!!! I probably sound a little obsessed, but you know me, I get really excited about shoes:)

WAKING UP IN VEGAS

Good morning, Everyone. Hope you're enjoying your weekend! Emil and I spent the last couple of days in Vegas, so I thought I would take this opportunity to share a few images of our adventures. Because we've been to Vegas a few times before, we've developed a bit of a routine and staying at Wynn is definitely part of it. Yet this time, we decided to take a gamble and try a different hotel. Since whenever we come to Vegas, Aria is always one of the places we love to explore, we decided to stay there. The hotel was absolutely fantastic! Loved, loved, loved our room, the spa, the restaurants and of course the pool! The latter, being the place where we spent most of our time, since it was so hot outside:) We ended up having a super relaxing time just lounging by the pool, dining and shopping. The shopping was probably a bit more relaxing for me than it was for Emil... but I can't really imagine a trip to Vegas without some serious retail therapy! What about you guys, what are your favorite things to do in Vegas?

Good morning and happy Monday, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 

This one is yet another one of those outfits comprised entirely of my all-time favorites. I got this Helmut Lang blazer about a year and half ago, and we've been inseparable since. Perfectly tailored and immaculately crafted, to me, this is an ultimate investment piece. Though I've worn it countless times, it looks just as great as it did on the day I got it. And longevity is definitely something that's important to me when it comes to clothing. The Emporio Armani bag is also about a year old, and I have to say that it is one of my favorite black bags ever! Simple and elegant, I am very partial to chain handles on cross-body bags, because I feel that chains help to elevate a look by adding that little bit of sparkle. And of course you know how I feel about sparkle:) The more, the merrier! Last but not least is the Bardot skirt. Aside from my obsession with black and white, I absolutely love the asymmetrical hemline of this skirt! It pairs with practically anything from blazers to oversized knits and works perfectly for day or night. In other words, it's another one of those versatile pieces I'am always raving about.

BLACK N' BLUE

Didn't I tell you I am having a flats moment! I know, I can hardly believe it myself, but here I am wearing flats and loving it! Though technically speaking these platform sneakers are not completely flat, they are definitely a big change from my usual sky-high heels. I spotted them on a recent trip to Madison Los Angeles and it was love at first sight! You know how I feel about bright cobalt blue and of course the super thick platform is way cool. But I think it was probably after I spent the better part of Thursday running around LA like a headless chicken, did I realize how comfy they are and just much I really love them! Now of course the problem is that I can't really imagine wearing anything else. So, I went and got them in a few different colors:) So, I hope you're ok with seeing quite a bit of them on this blog in the near future! :)

DENIM DAYS

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! 

I am definitely having a denim moment lately! Though technically speaking Summer is a very long way from being over in LA, I am already starting to stock up on my Fall essentials. Well, I am not sure if you can call it stocking up for Fall, since I keep wearing whatever I buy right away:) But you know me and how I get about new things in my closet! Basically saving new items for later is just way too much temptation for me:) Since denim is basically right at the top of my Fall essentials shopping list, I've been stocking up on my favorite skinny jeans and denim shirts. 

Case in point, today's outfit. I am down right obsessed with boyfriend denim shirts! Aside from being incredibly comfortable, they go with just about anything, from leather pants and shorts, to dresses and skirts, and of course jeans, if you are a fan of the denim-on-denim look like I am. Love the particular denim shirt I'm wearing in today's post because of the super slouchy, relaxed silhouette and the of course because I am such a fan of this particular soft shade of blue. For today's look, I paired it another recent obsession of mine: skinny acid wash jeans I got from Express recently. I know I talk about fit a lot on this blog, but honestly, when it comes to jeans I am very particular about what I'm looking for. The reason why I love this pair is because it has enough stretch so that they are comfortable to wear and don't lose their shape though out the day. In another words, no stretched out knees or butt:)! I also like that they are not super tight around the lower part of the leg, because personally I feel that this particular shape is much more flattering.

BIRTHDAY GIRL

Good morning, Everyone! I would like to start by saying thank you for all your wonderful Birthday wishes! Words can't describe how much they mean to me! This is actually a third birthday we celebrate together, so thank you so much again for being so sweet, kind and supportive!

If you've been following my blog for a while, you might remember that every year my family comes to visit me from Canada, so that we can spend my B-Day together. What we do on my B-Day always changes, the only constant is that we always spend this day together. Well, this year my family decided to start celebrating early, so we went out to late dinner yesterday, and at exactly 12, everyone started singing Happy Birthday and giving my my presents. I don't know about you, but I certainly don't mind starting celebrations early:) And I definitely don't mind receiving my presents early as well:) 

Now talking about gifts, patience is definitely not a virtue of mine. Ever since I was little, I was always able to find my presents early, no matter how much my parents tried to hide them from me. Well, to be quite honest with you, not a lot has changed since. I caught Emil trying to sneak a little bag in the house yesterday and as much as he tried hide it, when it comes to presents, I have a sixth sense:) So, I got to open my present right there and then! I think I have mentioned a few times just how obsessed I am with Pandora jewelry, so Emil got me the beautiful Star Sign Essence Collection bracelet and charms, I'm wearing in this post. The first of three charms has a beautiful Virgo sign, the blue one, which just happens to be my favorite color, stands for loyalty and the third one in sterling silver, represents honesty. Aside of course from the fact that the bracelet and charms are absolutely beautiful, the reason why I love Pandora jewelry so much is because every piece has a deep meaning, which in my opinion makes it so much more special. Good morning, Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a one of my favorite looks from a recent ( pre-Birthday ) trip to Palm Springs. I think I probably talked enough about just how much I love white and eyelet for Summer. But it is the combination of both I find particularly irresistible. I got this pretty dress from Elodie K last week and we've been inseparable ever since:) So chic and comfortable, I love the super easy, flowy silhouette and of course the lace trim! 

On a separate note, I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your wonderful Birthday Wishes! Thank you so much guys, for making it such a special day for me and honestly one of the best Birthdays ever!

Good morning, Everyone! As I have mentioned before, my family is in town, visiting me for my B-Day. From what they tell me, Toronto had one of the coldest, sunless, rainiest Summers this year, so naturally they are really enjoying the warm Cali weather. Normally, we try to squeeze in as many activities as possible during their visit, but this year, since they were so starved for warmth and sunshine, we spent most of our time on the beach. And this weekend was no exception:) Not that Emil and I mind very much, I am sure by now you know we are complete and utter beach bums:) So, we spent the last 2 days in Malibu and Santa Monica doing a bit of everything from tanning and swimming to biking, shopping and of course everyone's favorite - dining out:) What about you guys, what did you do this weekend?
