CAMEL COATED

As far as I'm concerned, accessories make or break an outfit... Ok, maybe not break but they definitely make outfits a little more interesting:)! Take today's look for example, a classic camel and black combo gets a touch of drama thanks to a pair of studded booties and a bright red bandana. Sure, I could have gone with a neutral-hued scarf like brown, cream or gray for example, but I rather like that unexpected pop of red precisely because it takes this look away from the neutral territory and makes it a bit more special:) What do you guys think?

SANDAL STAPLES :: A FEW MARC FISHER LTD FAVORITES

If you read my blog on regular basis, you probably know what a huge shoeaholic I truly am! And so, when Marc Fisher LTD reached out with an opportunity to style a few of my favorite sandal styles, I simply couldn't resist!:)

When it comes to my favorite shoe styles in general, drama and details is what I tend to go for the most. Even when it comes to everyday and casual, plain is not my game:)! And so, since details are so important to me and lace-up is one of the biggest trends of SS16, for this particular post, I opted to style 3 different lace-up style sandals ranging from casual to dressy. Why lace-up you ask? Well, aside from being incredibly versatile, what I like about lace-up details the most is the fact that they add that perfect touch of drama to both casual and dressy sandals. A little sexy, a little girly, they have this great ability to transform even the simplest of styles into statement making heels.

Look 1:

When it comes to must-have sandals for Summer, a great pair of black heels is always at the top of my list. Black works with everything and never goes out of style, so I always look for something I can wear in a multitude of ways. In general, I prefer slightly edgier options because they work so well to balance girly dresses yet pair beautifully with jeans and tailored separates. What gives that slightly edgy, polished look to the Lauren heels I am sporting in today's post, are the thicker lace-up straps with tasseled edges, which can be casually tied in the front. For today's look, I paired them with a simple cobalt-colored shirt dress and a wide tasseled belt. Introducing a thicker black leather belt gives a bit more polish to this outfit and also helps make tassels a statement detail in this look.

Look 2:

I am completely obsessed with these nude-colored Larsa lace-up heels with tassel detailing! Aside from the fact that nude-colored suede heels happen to be a particular weakness of mine, I love this particular style because it's such a statement-making shoe. A great hybrid between sandals and booties, to me, they are a perfect option to pair with a cute girly dress to add a bit of edge and polish to the look. For this particular outfit, I went with a beautiful stark white eyelet dress and a matching nude-colored purse. A perfect dressier option for dinner or cocktails, when it comes to Summer color pairings, nude and white is probably one of my favorites. Cool and crisp, this combo feels fresh and never goes out of style, and works for day or night and everything in between!

Look 3:

Gold-colored gladiator sandals? Yes, please! My ultimate statement-making flat sandal, there is literally no wrong way of wearing these beauties. They work with absolutely everything from casual, nonchalant pieces like denim cut-offs or sundresses to a much more polished options like flowy midi dresses and of course cute denim skirts and sheer lace blouses:)! For this outfit, I drew inspiration from my beloved 70s, so I paired my Mia gold gladiator flats with button-front denim mini, a long-sleeved lace blouse, huge sunnies and a few gold jewels to add a bit of sparkle to the look.

What do you thing, guys? Which sandal style is your favorite?

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone! Hope you're all enjoying your weekend! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images of my latest obsessions, starting with the uber cozy Club Monaco poncho I've added to my outwear collection recently. Chic, yet very warm and comfy, what I love about this piece the most is the fact that I can wear it in a multitude of ways. Today I opted to pair it with slouchy jeans and ankle boots, but it would look just as great with flared jeans or knee-high boots for example. Basically, the possibilities are endless, and of course you know how much I love that!:)

I've been obsessively wearing leather pants and boots lately. Well..., really it's these particular boots and pants that I've been keeping on heavy rotation for the past few weeks. Suppose I'm going through one of my edgier, tailored phases and this combo seems to be the winning pairing at the moment. So, I'm just rolling with it!:)

Cobalt and stripes... always a winning combination for me:) Cheery and bright, I often opt for this pairing when I style my casual outfits to make them a bit more striking and interesting. Though normally, I prefer to wear cobalt and stripes with darker denim like navy or even black, for today's look I went with something a bit lighter. Aside from the fact that I am utterly obsessed with these Citizens of Humanity jeans because they are a perfect hybrid between boyfriend and slim fit, I rather like the way cobalt and lighter denim blue complement each other for a slightly more casual, not-so-very-nautical vibe:)

Back to black with just a touch of gray! I've been dressing down a lot lately, so I decided to take full advantage of Friday night dinner date with my hubby and dress up a bit. Though I don't normally go super fancy for our date-nights, I do like to forgo my usual jacket and jeans combo for something a bit more feminine like a cute mini for example. For today's look I paired it with my favorite over-the-knee boots and an oversized sweater. As a rule, whenever I wear something short, I like to pair it with something a bit more covered up on top. A nice oversized sweater, does a great job balancing out the length of the skirt and keeps an outfit from looking too sexy.

What about you guys, what's your go-to look for a date night?

Finding a great-fitting pair of dress pants sounds easy enough, but in reality, or at least in my experience, the right fit is not always easy to find. Sure, there is an abundance of dress pants out there, yet up until I found the Columnist ankle pant from Express, I've always struggled to find a pair that fits right. You see, I like a slim-fitting pant that sits a little lower on the waist and hits just above the ankle, so I can wear it with heels, flats and boots. Polished and modern, reason why I like this fit so much, besides the fact that it works with every style of shoe imaginable is because I can easily dress it up or down. For today's look, I paired it with a simple white Portofino shirt and a striped trench coat from Express, a pair of black and white oxfords and a bright red scarf do add a pop of color to this classic office-ready outfit. Yet, I could have easily worn these pants with a turtleneck, a leather jacket and some fun sneakers for a more casual look. Basically, I've worn these pants to dinner parties and business meetings, and they never missed a mark. And knowing how I feel about versatility, you know how much I love that! :)

Remember when I talked about just how quickly LA weather changes... Exactly 2 weeks ago I was wearing sweaters and boots, and today, well... I'm sporting a sundress in a middle of February:) Chances are, we'll go back to boots and coats soon enough, so I am taking full advantage of this lovely weather by breaking out some of my new Summer faves a bit early.

This dress is my latest find and newest obsession! It's one of those pieces that combine everything I look for in a dress from open shoulders, pockets, perfect color combination and feminine silhouette! Clean and simple yet decidedly elegant, I love the way this dress pairs with heels and flats. My perfect summer dress is every respect, I can see myself wearing it for day or night and everything in between!:)

THE GRAMMYS 2016 WITH OLAY

Wow! What a magical night! Attending the Grammys and being able to listen to a few of my favorite artists perform live was just surreal! Honestly, I still get goosebumps when I think about Adele's powerful performance! Special thank you to Olay for making my dream come true and of course for making me feel and look my very best for the Grammys!

As I have mentioned before, I partnered with Olay to get my skin in shape just in time for the Grammys, so I could walk that red carpet with confidence:) During my initial consultation we've  identified some of the areas that needed improvement, specifically moisture levels and my skin's ability to retain water. To combat these concerns we went with the  Olay Regenerist line. A simple 3-step regimen consisting of Regenerist Regenerating Cream CleanserRegenerist Micro-Sculpting cream moisturizer and  Regenerist micro-sculpting swirl eye cream. At this point, I've been using these products for a little over a month and I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with the way my skin improved! I've been battling those pesky little dry patches for years and I am happy to report I am finally completely rid of them! YAY! Also, another positive change I've noticed since I started using the 3-step regimen is my under eye area! To say that I don't normally get enough sleep is an understatement. Most of the time, I go to bed late and get up early, which of course leaves a girl with some major under eye circles! Pretty? Not so much! But I've had them for so long, I've come to accept them as a given. And yet... after using Olay's Regenerist micro-sculpting swirl eye cream I've noticed a significant difference. Barely noticeable, I finally look like I'm getting enough sleep ( even when I'm not ) so I'm pretty excited!:)

Definitely planning on using these 3 products continuously and keeping you guys updated on my progress!

My obsession with trench coats continues... The one I'm wearing today's post is my latest find and probably one of my favorites at the moment! Perfect in every way, from fit and color, I especially like that little bit of cargo detailing on the pockets. You know me, I can't get enough of those special details:) Today, I paired it with leather pants and cute fringe sandals, but I also love the way it looks with flare denim or midi skirts.

I hate being sick! I really do! Aside from all the wonderful things that you normally associate with a flu, like body aches, fever and chills, what I hate about it the most is being stuck in bed! I start thinking about all the things I have to do and get really worked up about not being able to do any of them:)

Well..., I woke up Thursday morning feeling a bit funky! Kinda tired, kinda achy, basically not feeling like myself at all! By mid day, I was full on sick. I spent the last 4 days alternating between trying to sleep ( cause I don't know about you but I seriously can't sleep when I'm sick ) and binging on Netflix because my overprotective mama-of-a-husband won't allow me to do any actual work:) I am of course extremely grateful to him for taking care of me, but I don't know if I can handle spending another day in bed!!!!:) So, if you have any tips for getting rid of a flu faster, I would really appreciate them! :)

P.S. Since we haven't shot any outfits in the past few days, I found this older look we shot a few weeks ago to share with you. Hope you enjoy!:)

After being stuck in bed for almost a week ( battling a massive flu ), venturing outside, even for a little while, feels like a treat. Funny, but you really get a perspective on things when life's little pleasures become temporarily unavailable. All of a sudden, sitting on a park bench, reading your favorite book while sipping hot tea and basking in a glorious California sun, makes you so happy, you can barely contain yourself... I guess nothing works quite like a good old break from everything courtesy of a massive flu to make a workaholic in me face what's really and truly important:)

I fully understand the irony of talking about in-between season dressing in February. Yet because we've been enjoying unseasonably warm temperatures in LA lately and in-between season dressing is exactly what I've been doing, talking about what I wear when I can no longer slip on my coats and boots, seems entirely appropriate:)

Most of the time, switching from winter to summer wardrobe isn't easy for me. I guess there is a certain rhythm I get used to when I style outfits around boots and coats. And because weather in LA switched at a drop of a hat, at times, you literally find yourself switching seasons overnight. And sure, this happens all the time, yet I still struggle with going from wearing a fluffy coat on Monday to denim cut-offs on Tuesday:) To make the process of switching a little less painful, what I've been doing lately, is mixing pieces from both summer and winter seasons. So, I'd pair a summery dress with a trench and boots, or wear a pretty lace skirt with a blazer and oxfords as in the case of today's look.

What about you guys, what's your trick for in-between season dressing?

SPRING REFRESH WITH VICTORIA'S SECRET

If you follow me on instagram, you may have noticed that recently, I've partnered with Victoria's Secret to be an official Angel Card ambassador. As part of our collaboration, I not only get to work with a brand I absolutely adore, but also highlight a few of my favorite products and of course talk a little bit about the benefits of the Angel Card:)!

With Spring right around the corner, I thought that this would be the perfect time to revamp my bra wardrobe with the new Body by Victoria launch as well as to refresh a few of my all-time favorite staples, like silky pjs and fluffy robes.

When it comes to bras, I think we all have that one favorite shape we tend to gravitate towards. For me, it's the unlined demi. Comfortable and practical, it feels like you're wearing nothing at all! But what I like about the new Body by Victoria unlined demi in particular, is that it comes in the prettiest variety of colors and has just the perfect amount of those lovely details I always look for! I mean coral lace! YES, PLEASE! Of course the fact that as an Angel Card Holder I get rewarded for shopping, doesn't hurt either!:) Triple points for new bra purchases, which gets you closer to 250 points and $10 reward you can apply towards your next purchase, in case just like me, you don't like choosing between equally stunning coral and lavender lace!:)

Wanted to share a few images of the most stunning dress I wore to dinner with Emil the other night! I'm sure by now you know how much I love dresses that move, and this one certainly does in the most amazing way! Light as air, the skirt seems to come alive with every single step you take and creates an almost halo-like effect around you! A perfect date night dress, I also love to dress it down with a cute cropped leather jacket I just picked up from Shopbop and some cute gladiator flats. Basically the possibilities of wearing it are completely endless and of course you know how much I love that!:)

WEEKEND IN PALM SPRINGS

Emil and I decided to spend a few days in Palm Springs before we head to Paris for Fashion Week. A few days of calm before the storm:)

Though normally, we spend most of our time by the pool, working on our tans and indulging in an occasional swim, this time around we decided to do things differently, and actually explore Palm Springs a bit. And I have to say that I'm very glad we did because we ended up finding the cutest little place right in the heart of Palm Springs!

Korakia Pensione is a beautiful villa converted into an upscale resort. Honestly, as far as places to stay in Palm Springs go, this one has to be my new favorite! A perfect romantic retreat, I fell in love with the relaxed vibe of the place! And though we're back in LA already, I cannot help but start planning our next visit!:)

Always happy to be back in Paris, even if the weather is misbehaving in the most bizarre way like going from sunny to rainy and snowy all within a span of 15 minutes! :) Originally, this outfit was supposed to consist of a blouse, blazer and jeans, but I ended up adding a trench coat last minute to make it a bit more weather appropriate:)

Today's look is really a combination of all my current favorites! I am absolutely obsessed with these cropped slim-leg jeans from Frame at the moment. Though I am definitely still a fan of skinny jeans, lately I've been gravitating towards this particular fit more and more. Perfect for pairing with cute heels, I also love they way they work with cropped jackets and tucked-in shirts. For this look, I paired them with another favorite piece - a military inspired jacket from Isabel Marant! Aside from the fact that I am usually in love with everything Isabel Marant does and jackets happen to be my particular weakness, what attracted me to this particular one, is rich detailing and of course the military inspired vibe! So good with jeans, it works equally well with midi skirts or slim cut pants! Basically the possibilities of wearing it are practically endless, and of course you know how much I enjoy that!

Last but not least is the Gucci Dionysus bag! It was love at first sight the moment I saw it! Rich, colorful embroidery combined with classic Gucci canvas and uber versatile shape! I mean, what's there not to love!:) Though this bag is certainly a statement piece, it actually pairs absolutely flawlessly with every outfit imaginable. From dressy to casual, it adds that perfect finishing touch to an outfit and makes even the simplest of looks a little more dazzling!
