LACE UP LOVE

I've been practically living in this lace-up corduroy dress! So comfy and easy, it's became my unofficial off-duty uniform as of lately:) Love absolutely everything about it, from the casual silhouette, to lace up detailing and side pockets! You know me, those happen to be my particular weakness! So good with flats, also love the way it pairs with slouchy flat or over-the-knee boots! For today's look, I went with all black accessories and added just a few gold touches. But if you happen to love color, which I usually do when I'm not going through one of my all-black moments:), it pairs just as well with jewel tones, especially burgundy and emerald! Though to be completely honest with you, I am yet to find something this dress doesn't look good with, and in my book, that is always a good thing!

CURRENT BODY-CARE ROUTINE

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're enjoying your week so far! In honor of Healthy Skin Month, I've partnered with Dove to talk about my body-care routine. But before I get into specifics, when it comes to body-care, I firmly believe that consistency is key!

Now, I haven't always been as diligent about body-care as I am now. In the past, I've let my schedule get the best of me, and let my routine slide. The result? Well, if you've been "blessed" with dry skin like I am, I'm pretty sure you know what happens when you don't take care of it properly! Basically dry, flaky skin, especially around knees and elbows! When things got really extreme, I'd resort to lotions and potions, which did provide a temporary solution, but as soon as my skin started looking better, I'd get lazy again and stop taking care of it! This went on for a number of years, until I got tired of this yo-yo skin care plan and developed a routine thanks to which I've been dry skin free for about a year now. My current body-care routine consists of 4 key ingredients, Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash, proper diet, exercise and dry brushing, all of which are instrumental to maintaining a healthy looking skin!

Using a great body wash can change your life!Seriously, if someone told me a year ago that a body wash can change the way my skin looks, I probably wouldn't have believed them. And yet, a year after I started using Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash, which just won Allure 2015 Beauty Award for best moisturizing body wash, my skin is completely transformed! From the very first time I've used it, I noticed that my skin felt much softer and smoother and it only got better with every subsequent use. What I like about this particular product aside of course from the way it makes my skin look, is the fact that Dove takes a dual approach to healthy looking skin by repairing it also by maintaining it's protective layer during cleansing. In short, basically an ideal solution for dry skin!

You are what you eat! We hear this phrase all the time, but I've actually had an opportunity to test it personally and I can tell you that healthy diet is crucial! My first year of college was insane! I was in school from 8 in the morning to 8 at night and was too tired to think about proper diet! Forget fruits and vegetables, I lived on coffee, pizza and fries for weeks at a time! Not surprisingly, my bad habits took a tall on my skin! The good thing to come out of that whole experience is that I've learned my lesson! Now, I make sure to drink plenty of water, and eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables! Whether it's a fruit smoothy or yogurt with berries in the morning, acai bowl for lunch or a mandatory side of salad with dinner, for me fruits or vegetable are an essential part of every meal!

Exercise and healthy skin go hand-in-hand! Obviously there are numerous reasons why one should exercise, but aside from the obvious benefits, I noticed that the more active I am, the better my skin looks! The truth is regular exercise is one of the best things you can do to keep your skin healthy! Aside from improved circulation, exercise helps to remove toxins from your body and also lower stress which is often responsible for congested skin and breakouts! Right now, I am absolutely crazy about biking, hiking and swimming! I've always loved being outside, so I guess it's not that surprising that I enjoy outdoor-related sports. I also love switching things up so that I don't get bored of my routine, which is why alternating between swimming, hiking and biking keeps things fresh and exciting for me!

Dry brushing is a great way to exfoliate your skin and to improve circulation! Aside from the fact that dry brushing helps to remove dead skin cells, and gently exfoliate your skin, I noticed that for me, it also helps with tone and texture of the skin. Right now, I dry brush before getting in the shower every morning. Normally, I start at the bottom of my feet and make my way up using a firm bristle brush to massage the skin in circular motion for about 10-15 minutes! Super simple practice, the results are actually visible from the very first time you dry brush, and tend to get even better with time!

P.S. As always, if you guys have any questions, please feel free to email me anytime! I'll be happy to answer!

I love fall in LA! While the temperatures definitely drop, it's warm enough to get away with bare legs yet just cool enough to start wearing sweaters! Knowing full well that this weather may not last long, I'm taking full advantage by wearing all my favorite minis and chunky sweaters! Today's look is comprised entirely of my old and new favorites! Completely obsessed with cream turtlenecks in general, what I love the most about this Joie one is the relaxed fit! Perfect for pairing with mini skirts to make them a bit more day-time appropriate yet equally cute worn with skinny jeans and say on oversized coat! Love that! What about you guys, what are you mostly excited to wear for fall?

Ah, got to break out the first coat of the season yesterday! YAY! I know,... I know... getting this excited about outwear is a bit ridiculous and I'll be the first to admit that 10 years ago, when I was still living in Toronto, switching to fall wardrobe was nothing to write home about. Yet, when you live in LA LA land, the place of perpetual sunshine and palm trees, going from denim cut-off and flip flops to coats is very exciting indeed!:)

Aside from my general state of excitement about being out of denim shorts, what I've been giddy about lately is finding my first red coat of the season! The color red and I have a special relationship, red, white and black is kinda my thing period! Sure, I have other color combos I am very fond of, but this classic trio is the one that I feel most comfortable in! And so, every Fall begins with a search for a perfect red coat! This time around I got lucky! I found it very early on, though the fact I had to wait a month to wear it courtesy of 90-degree weather, was a bit irksome:) I fell in love with this cherry red topper from Tommy the moment I saw it! Perfectly easy and casual, so light it feels like you're wearing nothing at, yet cozy enough to rival my favorite fuzzy blanky:) I mean, what else can a girl ask for?!

LIFE'S LITTLE LUXURIES

I think I briefly mentioned the reason why I named this site VivaLuxury... You see, the word "luxury" always had a very particular meaning to me. To me, luxury isn't something expensive or self-indulgent, but rather something that feels good and makes you feel good. Luxury is that perfect pair of jeans that makes you look and feel like a million bucks or a sweater so cozy, you wear it over and over again yet feel equally excited every time you put it on!

Today's look is a combination of my favorite little luxuries at the moment! Every piece, starting from these skinny leather pants to the cozy pink cardigan, is a favorite in every respect! Love, love, love everything about them, from fit to look and everything in between! What about you guys, what does luxury mean to you?

Wearing my favorite pair of boots of all time! A huge fan of Stuart Weitzman Highland boots in general, something about this particular shade of burgundy just makes this style pop even more! So good with my favorite black and white combos, yet equally stunning paired with creams, caramels and blues! Love that!

Back in my favorite not-so-basic basics:) You know me, I'm a sucker for details! Never a fan of anything plain, I always look for those special little extras that add a bit of charm and character, and make everyday favorites even more special. These velvet, high-rise, button-front jeans are my favorite discovery as of late!

I actually got them to wear to a Holiday party coming up next week, but as usual, just couldn't resist  breaking them out a bit early:) Completely and totally obsessed with everything about them from fit and super comfy, stretchy fabric to exposed button detailing on the front! Oh, and the mini front pockets... don't get me started on those! Just too cute for words!

Obviously they pair beautifully with a nice, cozy sweater, yet they look just as good dressed up with a matching velvet blazer and a pair of heels for a night out or a Holiday party for example! You know me, I love finding those items that transition from day to night with ease and pair with everything from casual to dressy and everything in between!

If you read my blog on regular basis, you know that when it comes to jewelry, my motto is the more the merrier! A big fan of jewelry in general, I love the way it transforms even the simplest of outfits into polished and sophisticated ensembles and adds that perfect touch of glamour to any night-time look! This statement rings especially true as we head into Holiday season.

You know me, regardless of occasion, I like clean, tailored fuss-free pieces and dressier outfits are no exception. So today, I wanted to talk a little bit about my all-time favorite Holiday look, i.e. a sharp pant suit paired with lots of layered jewels.

Edgy, sophisticated and glamorous, I love this pairing because it works for just about any Holiday occasion imaginable. Today's version of the look is really a combination of my all current favorites. Love this fitted pantsuit for it's understated sexiness and beautiful detailing! Perfectly tailored, clean and polished, I adore the way it looks with layered gold jewelry.

Talking about layered gold jewelry, I am borderline obsessed with my LAGOS pieces! Aside from the fact that they are the quintessential layering pieces thanks to a variety of textures, shapes, colors and sizes. I am always a little more than partial to jewels that combine both glamour and edge and these certainly do! I've started collecting LAGOS pieces just a few month ago, and my collection just keeps on expending. What can I say, they just look so good together! Perfect for day or night, they also make such wonderful Holiday gifts ( hint, hint husband dearest... ) In short, I'm in love so I hope you don't mind seeing quite a bit of these pieces on my blog in the near future! :)

Good morning and happy almost weekend, everyone! Well..., it's almost here! The Holiday season is almost upon us! Kinda sneaks up on you, doesn't it? :)

Personally, I love this time of the year! There is something so magical about the Holiday season, and everything seems a little bigger and brighter and happier! I guess I'm a big kid at heart, but I love it all! Christmas trees and music, jingle bells, coffee with eggnog, presents, parties and dressing up!

Speaking about dressing up... The a-line, crystal-embellished number from Via Delle Perle I'm wearing in today's post is my first find of the season find and latest obsession! I fell in love with this dreamy dress the moment I saw it! I think what makes it so special for me is the beautiful combination of mixed metallic, crystal embellishments and a classically elegant shape! Feminine and fun yet so very polished and sophisticated! Basically, everything I could hope for in a dress and more!:)

I've been working hard on expending my collection of cozy knits this season, and this gorgeous Anine Bing chunky cardigan is my latest score! :) Perfect in every way, from color to understated pattern, I just love the way it fits! When it comes to knits, it's hard sometimes to find that balance between way too fitted and clearly too slouchy, but this one definitive nails that perfectly oversized look! So good with skinny jeans or leather pants, I also love pairing it with dresses and ankle boots for that cute, nonchalant day time look. Basically, the possibilities of wearing it are endless and of course you know how much I love that!:)

FLAWLESS SKIN ROUTINE

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your week is going great so far! If you read my blog on regular basis, you probably know that usually I opt for a very simple make-up. Powder, bronzer, liner and a bit of lip gloss, that's pretty much what I use on daily basis. Yet, when it comes to evening make up, my philosophy is quite the opposite! As much as I like a fresh, dewy face for day, I feel that a great evening look starts with a perfect canvas, or the right foundation, if you will.

It took me a really long time to find the right foundation for me. On one hand, I was definitely looking for something to mattify and even out my skin,  on the other, I didn't want to wear foundation which was very heavy or obvious. So, after trying a few different products, I finally came across Clé de Peau Beaué radiant fluid foundation spf 24. What I like about this particular one is the fact that it creates a very fine texture, feels very light on my skin and though it provides great coverage, does not look like I have a mask on! Currently, I'm using B30, a Medium Beige, but if you're not sure about your shade, answer a few question to find out your perfect complexion regiment at Complexion Concierge.

In addition to the radiant fluid foundation, I also use Clé de Peau Beaué concealer to cover up a few of those places that need a bit more coverage like under eye area or the few freckles around my nose for example.

I always start with concealer first, applying it directly to the problem area or areas depending on how my skin is behaving that day, then patting lightly around the area of application with a concealer brush to blend it out perfectly. Step two is the foundation. I start by dispensing a dime-sized amount of foundation onto my hand. This is definitely the perfect amount of product to use because you really need a small amount to work with. Next, using a foundation brush, I dot 5 parts of my face ( cheeks, nose, chin and forehead ). I always start by applying foundation to my cheeks for a bit more coverage and use less on the rest. Finally, holding a foundation brush perpendicular to my face I glide it back and forward to blend out the product perfectly and create a very natural look.

As always, if you have any questions about products or application, please feel free to email me anytime! I'll be happy to answer!

I love keeping busy! No really, for me, busy is exciting! A truly packed schedule is what I crave and how I function best! Don't really know what it is, but I've always been this way. Unless I have a million things to do, I feel like I'm slacking:) And yet, every once in a while, especially after a particularly crazy week, there is nothing I enjoy more than a quiet Sunday at home!

I guess you could call it a ritual, but I love getting up really early Sunday morning and spending the day doing all my favorite girly things! I light some candles, put on my coziest sweater and lounge around indulging in some personal pampering like trying out new skin care, experimenting with my eye make up,  painting my nails or catching up on some reading as I savor my morning coffee.

I big fan of soft pink nail polish in general, I just can't get over this pretty Holiday 'Roses in Snow" duo from Deborah Lippmann! Today, I opted to layer the glitter coat over the soft pink nail polish, but next time, I might just opt for glittery french tips or make a statement by adding the glitter coat to just my ring fingers:)

Can't really decide what I love more, the packaging or the scent!:) Love, love, love how fun and sexy Viva La Juicy fragrance is! Usually, I like to apply perfume on the inside of my wrists and not just my neck to really amplify the fragrance and make it last all day!

Candy-inspired eye-shadow colors? Yes, please! Love how blendable these shimmery and glittery shades are and rich and intense the colors are. Personal favorite color combo of the moment is "Strawberry Ice" paired with 'Sugared Violet"!

You know me, skincare is my thing and face masks are my obsession! Seriously, I can't image a personal pampering day without trying out a new mask:) This mask/scrub combo from One Love Organics is my latest discovery. For a good exfoliating effect, I mix this powder mask with warm water in equal parts, but you can also mix it with greek yogurt for a more clarifying effect or with raw honey to hydrate the skin.

Reading in bed is my guilty pleasure! Really, all I truly need to make my day is a good cup of coffee, some cozy blankets and a really good book to read! Currently, I'm reading Living In Style: Inspiration and Advice for Everyday Glamour and indulging in some style insights from the effortlessly glamorous Rachel Zoe, who is also one of my personal fashion icons.

I can't get enough of this pretty Essence of Florets candle from DL & C! Pretty scent and beautiful packaging, I just love the way it fills the room with a delicate floral fragrance!

WITH THE BAND

If you happen to follow me on instagram, you may have noticed that Emil and I are the two biggest foodies in the world! A little tradition that began on our very first date, there is absolutely nothing we love more than going to our favorite restaurants or finding new ones to love! I don't know what it is really, but something about sharing a really great meal together always lifts our moods and spirits, and thus, these date-nights are absolutely sacred! No matter how tired or busy we get, we always try to carve out some time to go food exploring together!:)

For this date-night look, we were heading to this really cool new place in Downtown LA which has a relaxed yet altogether sophisticated vibe, so I went with a slightly edgy yet polished look comprised entirely of old and new favorites. To make this outfit extra special and as part of being one of EXPRESS Blogger Ambassadors, I am really excited to get a first look at their new high-end luxury collection, EDITION, that launches today!

The collection includes these super cool leather pants, sheer chiffon blouse and embellished jacket. Though I am completely and totally obsessed with the whole collection in general, mainly due to a phenomenal mix of luxurious fabrics, beautiful quality and attention to detail, what I love about the particular pieces I am wearing in today's post, is how cool yet sophisticated they are. Love the fact that these leather pants are fitted yet have that slightly slouchy factor which makes them that much cooler, or the cheer chiffon blouse that is both sexy and sophisticated and of course the band jacket with it's beautifully embellished details on the front and sleeves! Basically, perfect together or separately, I could just live in these pieces forever! And given my track record, I most certainly will, so be prepared to see them often:)!

Back in my everyday favorites, i.e. a fitted blazer, jeans and heels! I don't know what it is exactly, but something about this tried-and-true combination never fails to feel right for me. And sure, as time goes by the shapes and colors may change, but the main players remain the same. When I was obsessed with wearing every bright color imaginable, I often opted for neon-hued pairings like a pink blazer and cobalt heels, but now that my preferred color palette is decidedly calmer, I gravitate towards darker hues and rich textures like velvet and suede.

What about you guys, what is your favorite everyday pairing?

WEEKEND GETAWAY TO BIG SUR

I love weekend getaways! I'm sure this comes as no surprise to anyone who frequents my blog. Having a busy schedule doesn't always allow for a full blown vacation, but something about getting away for a few days just makes the biggest difference if I want a bit of relaxation and fun.

Since most of the time these getaways are completely spontaneous, I make sure to keep some of my favorite essentials in my weekender, like super comfy set of PJs, a good book and of course some beauty products like this mini sized Holiday Kit from Burt's Bees. It contains all the things I need in a convenient and very easy to travel with packaging which is a great plus as I like to travel light when it comes to trips like this one. Let me tell you, after walking around in cold and crisp air, my hands and feet appreciated a little moisture at the end of the day:) I love Coconut Foot Cream because I'm a huge fan of anything that contains coconut oil, and the Hand Salve restored my dry hands and cuticles in no time! The Vanilla Bean Lip Balm saved my lips from drying up and cracking because let's face it, dry lips are not a good feeling or a cute look on anybody! Having tried and loved these products, I'm thinking of getting this set for all my girls! So compact and cute, I think it'll be a perfect stocking stuffer!:)

This time around we decided to go a very familiar and beloved route, driving up the beautiful California coast. From San Simeon and Big Sur to Carmel, it's truly amazing what California has to offer! The views of the ocean from Big Sur alone take my breath away every time!

Emil and I love going to familiar places, but we always try to do something new whether it's staying at a new hotel or trying a new restaurant. This time, it happen to be Sierra Mar at Post Ranch Inn. I fell in love with this place before I even tried the food because of the beautiful view it offers. It really is unbeatable. The fact that the food was exceptional was just a cherry on top! :)

What about you guys, where do you love to get away for the weekend?

For me, dressing up is one of the best parts of the Holiday season! My latest obsession? Little white dresses! Don’t get we wrong, I love Holiday classics like black and red, but sometimes it’s kind of fun to switch things up a bit!

Take this grommet-detailed Shoshanna Egerie number for example, aside from the fact that I love the way the shorter length is balanced by a longer sleeve and higher neckline, the combination of stark white and silver grommet detailing makes such a strong statement! Sexy, flirty and fun, to me, this is a perfect example of a quintessential Holiday dress! Initially, I got it to wear to a Christmas party but per usual couldn’t wait to wear this beauty for that long! With such a gorgeous piece, can you really blame me?:) So, I ended up wearing it a bit early to a Holiday soiree with friends. To make this stunner the focal point of the outfit, I went for a monochromatic look, opting for matching accessories in winter white and added just a touch of color with a bright red lip. Finishing touches, a few sparkly rings, silver nails and a smile!:)
