Good morning, Everyone!

I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few pics of my newest obsession, i.e. the Sophia Webster Mila heels I've been lusting over for ever now. What can I say, I love a great statement shoe:) I first spotted them a few month ago, but couldn't decide which color to go with (they also come in black), but I finally figured the soft beige/grey is perfect for Summer and should pair nicely with my favorite pastel color palette. Which color do you guys like better? Black or Grey?

Good morning and happy almost weekend, Everyone!

Wanted to share a few pics of an outfit I wore to the Tiffany & Co Atlas event I attended earlier this week. I can't even begin to tell you what a pleasure it was to preview new pieces from the Atlas collection, since I am such a big fan of Tiffany & Co jewelry and Atlas collection in particular. In fact, when Emil and I got engaged, I was lucky enough to be able to choose my own ring. And since I am not a big believer in traditional engagement rings, I choose Tiffany  & Co open ring from the Atlas collection I'm wearing in this post. Sleek and modern, this ring is truly something I can wear everyday with just about anything. I've had it for about 8 years now, and never regretted my decision to forgo the traditional route.

I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend!

As you can see I am back to my uniform, i.e. jeans, blazer and heels. A huge fan of jeans in general, come Spring time, all I want to wear is light, destroyed denim and these high rise skinnies are my latest find. Soft and comfy, I think my favorite thing about them is the color because this elusive shade of blue is so hard to find. I call it a happy medium, a shade that packs enough color to pair with my favorite pastel color palette yet has a visibly faded effect. Another reason why I like them so much is because they are the brightest example of a super versatile item I'm always gushing about. Though I dressed them up a bit today since Emil and I were going out for dinner, I think they would look just as great paired with a casual off-the shoulder top and strappy flats. What do you guys think? How would you wear them?

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Initially I bought this skirt to wear to Emil's B-Day, which is coming up next week, but I just simply couldn't resist wearing it a bit earlier. Suppose now I have a perfectly valid excuse to shop for another outfit:) You know how I feel about voluminous skirts in general, so of course I found the combination of this fun shape and the sunniest shade of yellow, simply irresistible. Today, I decided to pair it with a cute pleat-front top, caged sandals and stripped sunnies, honoring the classic black, white and yellow combination but of course one of the reasons I love yellow so much is because it pairs beautifully with such a range of colors, light blue and gray being some of my favorites. What about you guys, what do you normally pair yellow with?

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone!

If you read my blog on regular basis, you may remember last year I had a chance to do a few collaborative posts with Belen from B* a la Moda. As, I mentioned before, one of the biggest reasons I started this blog was so that I could connect with people all over the world who are passionate about fashion and style. Though, we have never met in person (up until now that is), we felt an instant connection and became great friends. So, I suppose you can imagine my delight when I found out she is coming to LA! When we finally met, it seemed like we have known each other for years! We ended up talking non stop for what was probably hours, but felt like an instant. I so wish we had a little more time together, because even though Belen and her husband flew back to Madrid on Friday morning, Emil and I miss them already and hope we get to see them again soon!

Good morning and happy Monday, Everyone! Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

To say that I've been obsessed with dresses lately would be an understatement. Don't really know what it is about warm weather that brings out my inner dress fanatic, but I can't seem to stop wearing them! Of course this particular shift number from By Johnny is an embodiment of a few of my obsessions, i.e. dresses, floral print, asymmetric hemlines and the color blue. Though it is the first time it's appearing on this blog, I have to confess, for the past few weeks I've been wearing it non stop. What can I say, it's one of those pieces that works with everything! And I don't know about you guys, but I figure different shoes, bags and accessories paired with the same dress equals a completely new outfit! No?:)

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

I just wanted to say hello and share a few images from our recent trip to Palm Springs. As I have mentioned before Emil and I are seriously addicted to the lounging-by-the-pool, working-on-our-tans thing, so we are always happy when we manage to carve out some time to get away. Though we've been to Palm Springs a few times before, normally we find it increasingly difficult to go anywhere outside of our hotel. Yeah, I know! Of course by difficult I mean that we get super lazy, since we tend to visit when it's really hot and an ice-cold drink, followed by a dip in the pool is the best way to stay cool. But not this time! This time we actually managed to leave our hotel to go exploring a bit around Palm Canyon drive. We had dinner at Matchbox, followed by a bit of walking and shopping and some delicious frozen yogurt, which another serious addiction of mine:) Now that we are back in LA, we just can't help but plan another visit in the next few weeks or so, though personally I wouldn't mind being back there tomorrow:)

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

This is yet another one of those outfits comprised entirely of all of my favorite things at the moment. I've been searching for a perfect pair of pastel skinnies for ever, and the ones I'm wearing in this post are exactly what I've been looking for. I love pretty much everything about them! The tweed texture, the combination of white and soft pink, the fit and of course the length. Cause I don't know about you, but I am not too keen on the idea of super long skinny jeans. Sure they look ok paired with pumps, but   when I wear strappy heels I have to roll them which I think creates a bit of a bulky look.

The lace tee I am sporting in this outfit is also a recent find and definitely one of my favorite items right now. I think I mentioned before, I always look for special details and textures, and lace combined with a slightly slouchy silhouette turns a basic tee into a real stand out piece.

Finally, when I think about essential heels for summer, a pair of white strappy heels is always on top of that list. Surprisingly, a pair of white sandals is not so easy to find. You see, I was looking for something very simple I could wear with jeans or dresses, but with a fairly high heel. Most of the white heels I've been coming across lately had too much detail and embellishment, or had tiny or bulky heels I am not particularly fond of. That is of course until I spotted these amazing Saint Laurent Jane sandals. Simple and elegant, I can definitely pair them with pretty much anything and dress them up or down. And I don't know about you guys, but for me, when it comes to shoes, versatility is key!

As I have mentioned before, come Spring time, I am always on a look out for certain essential items to complete my wardrobe. A white bag, a pair of pastel pumps and perfectly slouchy boyfriend jeans in a light wash are always on top of that list because I simply can't imagine my Spring/Summer wardrobe without them. I think of these 3 as fundament of most Spring/Summer looks, which is not surprising I suppose, considering my weakness for pastel pairings:)

Good morning, Everyone! Hope your weekend is going great!

I am so honored to team up with ShopStyle and Luisaviaroma to talk about some of my favorite Spring/Summer 2014 trends. Given my penchant for bright colors and botanical prints, I suppose it's only natural that the "Plant Food" trend is one of my favorites this season. Though it may seem a bit intimidating at first, I think the key to wearing this bold trend is by pairing botanical-print pieces with solid colors, thereby making the print the focal point of your look. Unless of course you are feeling particularly adventurous, in which case feel free to rock it head-to-toe!

Another favorite trend this season is the "Laser Trail", characterized by sharply cut edges, laser cut details and strategic cut-outs. Fun and edgy, I think one of the reasons I love this trend so much is because laser-cuts create such interesting textures. Though, I suppose another reason why is because  I am a bit partial to any light and feminine trends and laser-cuts definitely give fabrics a very delicate feeling, a bit reminiscent of lace. Not really sure there is a wrong way to rock this trend, because it looks great with just about anything.

Todays look incorporates both my favorite trends. Because I wanted to keep all of the attention on the botanical print sweatshirt, I paired it with a mesh laser-cut edge perfection of a skirt and strappy heels, both in white. To finish the look, I added just a few accessories in complementary colors and a super bright mani in a matching shade of orange.

What about you guys, any favorite trends this season?

EXPRESS overall shorts, dip dyed stripe slub knit sweater, multi-function watch in gold & cut-out metal sunglasses { in black here| Pierre Hardy Red espadrilles { also love these ones } | OPI nail polish in Cotton Buds

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend!

In honor of Memorial Day, I wanted to share a tradition we have in our family. You see, every year no matter where we all are or how busy we get, we always make the time to get together, spend the whole day at the beach and have our annual Memorial Day picnic. Though there are a ton of beaches to choose from in California, we always end up somewhere around Malibu. There is definitely something about the beautiful white sand and turquoise water that inevitably draws us in and to be quite honest with you, at this point we cannot imagine spending Memorial Day anywhere else.

As far as picnic food is concerned, none of us are particular fans of eating heavily on a hot California day, which is why we like keep it pretty light. Normally, we serve a ton of salads, crab salad being my particular favorite, fruits and of course refreshing drinks like lemonade or sparkling water. The only exception being desert, because I don't know about you guys, but my appetite for sweets doesn't diminish in any weather:)

Knowing I'll be spending the whole day at the beach, I like to keep my outfits comfortable and since I am a bit traditional when it comes to Memorial Day attire, I like to adhere to the red, white and blue color palette. Today's look is no exception of course. For me, denim is synonymous with comfort, and a pair of cute denim overalls is just a perfect thing to wear to roll around in the sand. I paired my overalls with a super lightweight, slightly slouchy sweater because I love to wear things that feel good on and move with the breeze. I completed this look with a pair of oversized sunnies, a boyfriend watch and a few layered bracelets because quite frankly I can't go anywhere without my armparty:)

What about you guys, do you have any Memorial Day traditions?

Good morning, Everyone! How is your week going so far?

Have you ever had one of those days when everything seems to go your way? Well, I definitely had one of those recently! I woke up in the morning to find a package containing the Banana Republic x Marimekko shorts I've been drooling over, came in early. You know how much I love tailored shorts and the color blue in general, but the combination of vivid blues, turquoise and polka dot pattern, made them completely irresistible:) Next, me and my new shorts headed to down town to run some errands, and interestingly enough my good luck continued. Empty parking spaces opened up right in front of me, I came in to my favorite bakery just in time to grab the very last Rose-flavored macaroon and the flower shop I frequent, had just one bouquet of daisies left in my favorite shade of pink. Yes, it was definitely one of those days... Kinda wishing every day could be like this, though I suppose if every day was like this, I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much:)

Good morning and happy Friday, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful week!

I suppose it's not really a big secret that I have a weakness for brights and pastels and though I love color in general, I certainly have my favorites. Well, mint just happens to be one of them... Don't know about you guys, but I think, mint is pretty much Summer personified. Soft and pretty, for me wearing mint, somehow signals the arrival of Summer and all the wonderful things that come with it, i.e. sunshine, sandals, sun tans, swimming and seaside:)

And since we are talking about favorites, my other weakness at the moment is co-ords. I suppose the main attraction is their versatility. I know I talk about it a lot, but I really love pieces I can restyle in a multiple number of ways, and co-ords are definitely perfect for that. Worn together or separately, to me co-ords are like a 3-in-1 outfits, and I can certainly appreciate that. Which brings me to my latest obsession, i.e. the gorgeous mint-colored perfection of a set I am wearing in today's post. Aside from being a combination of 2 of my favorite things at the moment, I absolutely adore the floral trim and the uber feminine silhouette. Of course, the fact is that it just happens to come in my most favorite shade of mint might have something to do with it too:)

Good morning, Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Every once in a while, and I'm sure you've all been there, you come across an item so wonderful, that no matter how many times you wear it or even what you wear it with really, somehow it makes every outfit feel a little more special. Well, for me it's the skirt I'm wearing in today's post.
I've had it for a little over a year now, and wore it on numerous occasions, from formal dinner parties to casual strolls on Melrose avenue, and to this day, it never failed once to put a smile on my face. Don't really know exactly what it is about it, that makes me feel this way. Perhaps, it's the color, or the volume, or the front pleat or, what is most likely, it is the combination of all those those elements. In short, I am head-over-heels! So, I hope you will forgive me for obsessively wearing it again and again. My only excuse - I just can't help it:)

CAT EYES DAY TO NIGHT WITH BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL PUSH-UP LINER

$

0

If you read my blog on a regular basis, you may know that when it comes to make up, I generally prefer a more natural look. That is of course with one major exception, i.e. my can't-live-without cat-eye liner look! In fact, I am so addicted to it, I don't think I have ever left the house without it within the past few years. Seriously, even when I am sporting a pair of sunnies, it is always there with me:) Perhaps because I wear it so often, I get a lot of questions about the techniques I use to apply my eye liner.

Though, applying an eye liner may seem like an intimidating task at first, it is actually very easy to do. The first and most important thing is the product you use, because naturally, not all eye liners are created equal. Since, I've been using eye liner pretty much every day for the past few years, I got to try quite a few different ones. Few of them I liked, others I just couldn't deal with, but I certainly didn't find my favorite until I got the opportunity to test Benefit Cosmetics they're real push-up liner

Day vs Night:

Though some people recommend applying eye liner by drawing a series of dots and then connecting them, I prefer to draw an even line across the lash line and once I reach the outer corner, angle the tip and draw another line towards the brow, creating a winged out look. Next, depending on the intensity I am looking for, I fill in and thicken the liner a bit. For day, I usually go for a more natural look, so I tend to apply the liner closer to the lash line and extend the corners very slightly for just a hint of the cat eye look. But for night, I definitely favor the more dramatic look, so I thicken the line above the lashes and extend the line way beyond the natural outer corner.

What I like about Benefit they're real push-up liner:

Normally, it takes a few coats to achieve the intense black I am looking for, but with Benefit, I was able to achieve the desired color with just one coat. Another pet peeve of mine, is trying to get the liner as close to the lash line as possible. Usually, I have to go back a few times to fill out the little gaps, but I did not experience this problem with Benefit. The liner glided perfectly right over the base of my lashes leaving no visible gaps. Finally, when it comes to eye liner, longevity is important to me. I absolutely hate having to worry about smudges or fading color. Once again, Benefit liner lasted all day and the color looked just as intense as it did in the morning. And that is always a good thing!:)

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone! A TOUCH OF TWEED

Good morning, Everyone! How was your weekend? Emil and I had another one of those super lazy weekends, which after a pretty exhausting week, was probably exactly what we needed. Funny, how our lazy weekends always begin the same way... On Friday, we make a ton of plans but come Saturday morning, we cozy up on the couch, have a super long breakfast, which slowly transitions into lunch and end up watching our favorite shows all day long. Well, after spending the entire Saturday at home, around 3pm on Sunday we figured we had to leave the house at some point. So, we headed to our favorite Sunday hang-out spot, i.e. Melrose Avenue. We fully intended to walk around and maybe do a little house shopping, but instead  checked out exactly 2 stores before settling in at a very cute cafe:) Productive? Probably not! But sometimes it feels so nice to take a break from running around and take a moment to enjoy the simple things ...
