Good morning, Everyone! Hope you had a fantastic weekend! Emil and I spent the weekend in Newport Beach, visiting one of our favorite places in the whole entire universe - the Resort at Pelican Hill. After spending a few days there last Summer { see here }, we both swore we would come back in a month or so. Of course as it often happens, things got a bit hectic, and this was our first visit back. Seriously, I can believe it took us more than 6 months to come back!
To be completely honest with you, I was a bit nervous about the weather. December does tend to get a bit cooler, even in California:) But we got lucky, it was warm and sunny the entire time! So, we ended up having an amazing time, doing a whole lot of nothing, i.e. breakfast in bed, dining out, walking around and admiring the beautiful scenery! I know I said it before, but I really can't wait to go back again! Perhaps, Santa will bring me a week-long vacation at Resort at Pelican Hill this year... :)

Good morning, Everyone! I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! May this day bring you love, peace and happiness!
Emil and I will be spending today with our family, so I wanted to share a few "getting ready" shots. Since, tonight's dinner is going to be a fairly formal event, I opted to wear a beautiful purple cocktail dress, accessorized with crystal & pearl jewelry and a sparkly clutch. Today was also the perfect occasion to wear my new Guess Girl Belle fragrance, which I am completely in love with! The fact that it matches my dress perfectly, is just a happy coincidence:) Aside from my weakness for pretty perfume bottles and the color purple, I think what I love most about this particular fragrance is the fun, adventurous and flirtatious scent! What can I say, pink champagne, golden delicious apples, mixed berries, pink peonies, jasmine and violet, combined together, create absolute Magic! Perfect for day or night, it's definitely my favorite at the moment, so check it out when you have the chance. I completed this look with a fairly simple make up, adding just a bit of highlighting powder to my cheekbones and brow bones and a shimmery eye shadow. I also went for a super simple, fuss-free hairstyle, by creating very loose waves with a large-barrel curling iron! And voila! All done:) What about you guys, how are you spending Christmas Eve and what are you wearing tonight?

Good morning, Everyone! Once again, Emil and I want to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!
I also wanted to share a few images from my collaboration with Banana Republic. I was extremely excited when I was approached to style a few pieces from Banana Republic x L'Wren Scott collection. Although choosing which pieces to style was not an easy task, because there were just so many favorites, I finally decided on these amazing peony-print pants and a velvet bow back blazer. Not really that surprising considering how I feel about color and cute details:) Always on a look-out for cute separates, I think what I like the most about these pants, is the color combination and print. Fun and bright, they would look equally great paired together with an oversized sweater or a structured peplum top, and for me versatility is important! For today's look I paired them with a simple white shirt and a velvet bow back blazer. I don't really think I have to tell you have I feel about blazers, because I am sure my obsession is well documented at this point:) But the one I am wearing in this post, is definitely my current favorite! Perfect fit and length, I could pair it with just about anything from jeans to cocktails dresses! And how cute is that bow detail on the back?!!!

Good morning and happy Saturday, Everyone! I just wanted to say a quick hello and share a few images from a recent trip to San Diego. Emil and I made a spur of the moment decision to spend Christmas there, visiting my sister in law. The weather was on our side again, because it was unusually warm and sunny the entire time. I guess we didn't have a white Christmas, but we definitely didn't mind that very much:) I'll take all the warm weather I can get!
Hope you enjoy the pictures and have a great rest of the weekend!

As a blogger, I pretty much live on my phone! No matter where I go or what I do, I am constantly checking emails and schedules, taking Instagram pictures, adding reminders and notes and even editing posts. So, I guess it's really not that surprising, I feel like my phone is an essential part of my life. Always on the go, a great phone makes a world of difference in helping me keep it all together, which is why I am so glad Samsung Galaxy Note + Galaxy Gear came in to my life! What do I like about it so much, you ask? Well, aside from the fact that it's a perfect union of high tech and great style, I am completely addicted to the humongous Full HD screen! Now, I can actually see what I'm typing when I answer emails, not to mention, it makes shopping on the go sooooo much easier:) Let's just say recently, I've definitely been indulging in some stuck-in-traffic-maybe-I-can-use-this-time-to-shop-for-shoes scenarios!:) I also appreciate the fact that I can answer phone calls, check text messages, emails, and answer phone calls directly from my Galaxy Gear watch. But, I think my personal favorite is the S Voice, which basically allows me to use voice commands to make phone calls, create events, compose messages and so much more! How about you guys, have you checked out Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Gear? What is your favorite feature?

Happy New Year, Everyone! May 2014 bring you all the health, happiness and hope, and may this year be the one in which all your wishes come true!
Since the past few weeks have been kind of hectic, Emil and I took a mini vacation and spent New Year's in Cambria on the Moonstone beach. We ended up having a time of our life walking around, drinking a ton of hot cocoa, exploring the beautiful Hearst castle, dining out and just relaxing, doing a whole bunch of nothing. As we we rang in the New Year on the beach, our champaign glasses in hand, looking at the amazing starlit sky and the Pacific ocean, we made a pact to turn this into a yearly tradition. How about you guys, what is your perfect idea of New Year's celebration? Thank you for reading& Keep On Smiling,LOVE,Annabelle

Good morning and happy weekend, Everyone! I wanted to welcome the New Year by wearing my favorite shade of blue. I knew, I couldn't stay away from cobalt for too long:) I especially like the combination of cobalt and black, although I find it difficult to think of a color that doesn't look good with this particular shade of blue. My other weakness is formal dresses paired with leather (or suede) jackets. I think, this combination helps to create an interesting feminine/masculine contrast for a particularly modern and fun look. What do you guys think of flirty dresses paired with tough-looking jackets?

I've been taking full advantage of the unseasonably warm weather we've been enjoying for the past couple of days, by wearing a couple of my favorite skirts and dresses. Good morning and happy almost weekend, Everyone! With Fashion Week right around the corner, it seems I've been bitten by the shopping bug. Good morning, Everyone! Hope your weekend is going great so far! I actually got this dress to wear to an event coming up next week, but simply couldn't resist... you know how I feel about lace and full-skirted dresses... And since I got a sudden urge to dress up yesterday, I caved in and wore it to a dinner date with my boo. And I have to say, I am not sorry I did! And of course you know how I feel about Summer... Basically, gimme 80-degree weather year-round, and I am one happy girl!:) Or perhaps I love pastels so much, because they are such happy, uplifting colors... Really, how can one not have a great day wearing a pretty pink sweater? :)

Good morning and happy Monday, Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!
Since so many of you asked me about my beauty routine, I wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you about a few tricks and techniques I use when applying eye make up.
Before we get into eye make up application specifics, the first thing we should consider is the shape of the eye. Our eye shapes are unique, applying eye make up based on our eye shapes helps to enhance the natural beauty of our particular eye shape and of course ensure the best results! If you are not sure what your eye shape is, Smashbox created a wonderful video to help you figure it out. To achieve today's look, I used Smashbox Full Exposure palette. What I like about this particular product, is the fact that it contains 14 universally flattering shades, perfect for creating anything from a simple daytime to dramatic nighttime looks. I found that the colors are highly pigmented, long-wearing, easily blendable and feel great on. The double-ended brush included with the palette, is my other personal favorite! The fluffy side is absolutely perfect for blending matte shades, and the flat side is great for laying down shimmer shades. Finally, the palette comes with an eye shape get-the-look insert, which not only helps to identify your eye shape but also gives detailed instructions, tips and tricks how to enhance the particular shape of your eyes. The palette includes 3 different looks (day, night and defined) for each of the main 6 eye shapes. For today's post I chose to create a night look, designed to elongate and maximize the shape of the round eyes. To create today's look, I started by applying a midtone slate with silver pearl all over the eye lid, using the flat side of the double-ended brush, designed specifically for application of the shimmer shades. The best way to apply shimmer shades, is to press down rather than sweep the shades across the lid.
Next, I applied ashy dark brown along the eye crease using the fluffy side of the double-ended brush. I find that defining the crease adds depth to the overall look and also helps to emphasize the shape of the eye. Unlike shimmer shades, the best way to apply a matte shade is to sweep the color using a back and forth motion, almost like a windshield wiper:) Next, I applied suede black along the top of the lash line as an eye liner, extending beyond the natural outer corner to elongate the eye and to create my beloved cat-eye look.
Finally, I dabbed a little bit of soft gold with gold and silver pearl into the inner corner of my eyes. This trick helps to brighten the face in general and to widen the eyes. Next, I applied the same shade right on top of the cheekbones to illuminate the face and give more definition to the cheeks. I completed this look with two coats of Full Exposure Mascara and voila! All done!
NOW, HERE COMES THE BEST PART! Smashbox is giving away a ton a great prizes including 1,000 Photo Finish 24 Hour Shadow Primers and deluxe samples of the Full Exposure Palette, up to 500 full size Full Exposure Palettes and a trip to LA for 2!

I started packing last week, I know, sounds crazy... but trying to fit a ginormous amount of outfits in 4-5 suit cases is a task indeed. What can I say, Fashion Week is not about traveling light:) And in the end, hard chooses and shoes sacrifices have to be made... Oh, how I hate to leave shoes behind:) wish I could bring them all with me:) But then again, I only have 5 suitcases. How about you guys, are you guys planning to attend NYWF?

Good morning, everyone! Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!
Yesterday, we had one of those dark, rainy days, when everything looks a bit grey and you can't help but feel a little blue... So, I decided to combat the feelings of gloom and doom by wearing the brightest trench coat I current own. Cause you know, in my book, bright colors are a cure for everything... :) Well, my plan certainly worked! Emil and I actually ended up having a great time wondering about Beverly Hills, doing a little shopping and dining. Though, I fully admit shopping could have played a small part in elevating my mood, I am convinced it was mostly the bright orange trench coat:) That and my new sunnies of course! Completely redundant on a day like yesterday, they are brand new and I simply couldn't wait to wear them. Plus, I think they look lovely with the coat and bag. How do you guys chase away the blues on dark and rainy days?
