If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed Edward and I spent the last week at the gorgeous Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort. This was our second time staying at this particular property and it certainly did not disappoint! Why do we love it so much and keep coming back? Well, there are a few reasons.
To say that the property is beautiful is to say nothing at all. The grounds are absolutely magnificent, as is the location. Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort sits atop of a 150-foot seaside bluff and features a private beach club, an oceanfront golf course, upscale dining and breathtaking coastal views. But most importantly, it has a certain laid-back luxury vibe that you feel the moment you arrive, which is perhaps why we enjoy our time at the resort so much. Combine this utterly relaxed and calm feeling with lush green landscape, striking rocky cliffs, and endless beaches and you get one of the most beautiful resorts in California.
Our particular recommendation… take an evening to explore the resort. The light in the evening is particularly magical, so if you are fond of walking, you are certain to enjoy all the splendor the resort has to offer, including breathtaking lavender sunsets and fairytale landscapes.
Our other recommendation, is to have a sunset dinner at the Monarch Bay Beach Club. If you have been following us for a while, you know that Edward and I are huge foodies and so we love discovering new restaurants to enjoy. I think what makes the Monarch Bay Beach Club so special and distinct from other restaurants is the cuisine and the location. The food is impeccable, fresh and crisp, we particularly loved the Scallops, the Caprese Salad, The Watermelon and Feta Cheese Salad, and the Tuna Tartare, but to be able to enjoy a delicious meal steps away from the beach was, I think, particularly enticing. A quick tip, call ahead to book a table at the Beach Lawn which is one of the best locations to have an evening cocktail, watch a sunset and just take in the atmosphere!
