Did you know that clutter equals stress! Today, I’m sharing 5 super easy decluttering tips to distress your beauty routine, and help organize your makeup and vanity.
Step 1: Divide and conquer! Carefully look through all the beauty products you currently have and edit out all of the products that are not getting much love. We all have those impulse beauty purchases that didn’t quite work out, so to the bottom of the drawer or make up bag they went. But guess what, they are taking up space and creating clutter, so don’t be afraid to say goodbye to them.
Step 2: Once you cleared the unused product graveyard, organize your makeup by daily essentials and other items. I’ll explain what I mean by other items in a moment, but as far as daily essentials are concerned, store them together for easy access.
Step 3: Store your beauty products in clear storage boxes. Aside from keeping your beauty organized, storing your makeup in clear boxes is super convenient because you can see exactly what’s inside. I used to store my beauty in makeup bags, and let me tell you, going on a digging expedition every time I needed to find something gets very old very fast! Step 4: Now, let’s talk about those other beauty products. This can be anything from extra brushes, lipsticks, mascaras, eye pencils and eyeshadow palettes, essentially, anything you are not reaching for everyday. To keep these items nice and organized, sort them by item type and store similar items together. So, pencils with pencils, lipsticks with lipsticks, well… you get the point! Once again saving you from a digging expedition through all of your make up in case you’re looking for that glitter eyeshadow that you were on Halloween last year…
Step 5: Enjoy! Honestly, organizing is good for your soul period but there is something particularly therapeutic about organizing makeup. Oh, and you’ll enjoy putting your makeup on so much more! I guarantee it!
