The coset or busier top trend is here to stay! In fact, lingerie out is easily one of the biggest trends in 2021 and today, I’m sharing 3 ways you can wear it.
The first way is perhaps the simplest. Pair your corset or bustier top with high-waisted jeans to add a bit of wow to your denim look. I love pairing this sexy type of a top with casual jeans because slouchy denim tends to take away some of the dressiness of this look. Add a few gold jewels, pop a red lip and throw over a slouchy blazer to complete the look.
I think what I love about the corset top trend is the versatility it allows. If you’re not comfortable wearing a bustier or corset top on it’s own, wear it over an oversized shirt, roll up your sleeves, and leave the bottom half of the shirt unbuttoned. You can pair this look with skinny jeans and boots, or wear it with straight-leg denim and cool pumps.
Yet another way, perhaps this one is most season appropriate at the moment, is to wear your corset or bustier top over a tight-fitting turtleneck. Personally, I suggest picking up a turtleneck top in a contrasting color to make the most of your bustier top. Or, if you have a plain black turtleneck, a black lacy corset top can add an interesting textural element to this otherwise very plain top. By the way, you can dress this look down with a pair of jeans or casual pants, or go dressy and wear it with a polished midi skirt.
