Sonoma County Stay at MacArthur Place

After being stuck at home for months I must admit, I trip to Sonoma County was exactly what we needed. If you have been following me for some time nowyou probably already know that normally, Edward and I make this trip several times a year, because it is truly one of those magical places that never fails to impress and always brings a welcome change from the business of the city life. This time was no exception of course! Although somehow, this visit felt even more special since it’s been a while since we’ve been to Sonoma last, or perhaps it was because we ended up staying at one of our favorite hotels in Sonoma County, the MacArthur Place.

We discovered MacArthur Place on our last visit and fell in love with it’s serene atmosphere, relaxed vibe, and gorgeous grounds (CLICK HERE to see my previous post) so naturally, we just couldn’t wait to go back! Somehow, it was even more beautiful than we remembered! Everything is in bloom right now, and since I am definitely a flowers-kinda-person, it was rather magical to be surrounded by flowers everywhere we went.

If you read my previous post about MacArthur Place you know that Edward and I were incredibly impressed by Layla, a Mediterranean kitchen restaurant at MacArthur place that serves absolutely delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. If you happen to stay at the property, I highly recommend trying it out. As happy as we were to see our old favorites on the menu, we also ended up discovering new ones! Housemade Semolina Bucatini (vegetable bolognese with almond ricotta) and the MacArthur Burger were out absolute favorites!

Just like last time, we ended up enjoying all of our meals on the beautiful patio! Edward and I are rather notorious for eating fast, but the patio is just so relaxing and inviting, for the first time in a long while we took our time to enjoy our  meals, relax, talk and just take it all in…
