Though it feels strange to talk about make up in light of everything that is happening in the world, I find that beauty has become an escape of sorts for me lately… Something to take my mind away from the worry and anxiety, to get away if only for a short while, and maintain some sort of normality in my daily routine. And so with that in mind, I wanted to share a few MAC products that have been brightening my days lately. Hope you enjoy!
I like a good glossy texture when it comes to lip products, which is one of the reason why I love MAC Patent Paint Lip Lacquers. Another reason, the texture is non sticky. One of the biggest reasons why I often forgo glosses in favor of matte lip products is the sticky feeling… but these ones feel weightless! Yet another reason is colors… For day, I usually look for a soft, natural looking lip color (close to my own color but just a bit more amped up), but for night, I prefer a bit of drama. MAC Patent Paint Lip Lacquers offer a few really cool shades and in this post, I’m sharing 3 fave shades.
My first favorite is the really pretty pinky/coral shade I’m wearing above. Though it looks very natural on, it certainly adds that perfect dose of color to your lips and brightens up your entire look.

To create this look, I started with a Lip Primer because it adds a bit of moisture and makes subsequent product application easier. Next I lined my lips with Lip Pencil in Dervish, filling them in completely (this will really make your lip products last), and finished with a coat of Patent Paint Lip Lacquer in Lacquered Up.

Another fave day shade is Major Glazer. This is definitely a slightly colder shade, best described as soft rose. Love how elegant, understated yet pulled together it looks.

The last shade is the most dramatic of the 3! There is absolutely nothing muted or understated about it and that’s what I love! Dark, rich burgundy, I personally think it looks really cool for night (Especially, paired with a pretty black dresses)!
