It is very rare that I dedicate an entire post to a fragrance, but I have an obsession and so I wanted to share it with you. I am certainly not a stranger to Jo Malone fragrances. I’ve loved and used their products for years, but it is my newest discovery, the Poppy & Barley Cologne, that is an absolute favorite to date. To describe it in one word… different, but different is a best possible way. Different in a sense that I haven’t come across anything quite like it before.
Floral, but not at all sweet, it has distinct fruit notes of black current which yields a rather lively, fresh, inviting scent that is both vibrant and memorable. I am, as you may already know, rather careful with my scents. I don’t change my perfume often but instead prefer a signature scent. Usually the change happens when I come across something truly remarkable, and Poppy & Barley Cologne is definitely a signature scent. In a way, I think scents are very representative of where we are in our lives, how we feel at the moment, a reflection of time, place and state of mind. And something about this modern, fresh scents just grabs you… Anyway, I am absolutely obsessed! To the point that I’ve purchased the body wash as well, and now, patiently waiting for other products from this collection.
In the meantime, I wanted to share a few other Jo Malone fragrances and products with you. If you aren’t familiar with this brand, you are in for a treat. What makes Jo Malone fragrances so special is how different they are from anything else, the quality and longevity. Below are a few of my absolute favorites, hope you enjoy!
